Hey friends! I've just been a card making machine lately. Today I had a little time so I sat myself down with some Mad Men on Netflix (I am only on Season 3) and my Waltzingmouse set- Teeny Trees.
This is what I came up with. Its a one layer card. Bird, sentiment, and tree are all from WMS Teeny Trees. The circles are from PTI's Background Basics Retro. PTI ribbon and inks. Shot with my iphone in the dark cause that's the only way I can get things done. Thanks for stopping in!

Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party! "Falling for You"
Hello Friends! Its the 17th of the month which means its time for the Waltzingmouse Blog Party. You can find all the details here. The theme is fall and I have the perfect WMS set for fall. Its one of my all time favorites- Teeny Trees. Here I used the largest tree trunk paired with the tiny maple leaf. I stamped the tree and sentiment in palette dark chocolate. I stamped the leaves in a variety of versamagic chalk inks. I used my copic liner to make the stitching lines and the leaf trail. I hope you like it!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #111
Hi Friends! Long time, no write! Its been busy here the last couple of weeks! I have a few pictures and stories for you but first I wanted to check in with my take on the Waltzingmouse sketch challenge! You can find all the details for the challenge here.

My 17th wedding anniversary is tomorrow and I needed a little something for the hubby. I used a couple of different sets on this card. The background is from Heirloom Patterns. The tree and wee birds are from Teeny Trees. The heart is from Lil Buddies (I think...), and the sentiments are from Compact Family and Compact Sentiments. I used a variety of inks from a wide variety of manufactures. Ribbon from my stash, twine from May Arts. That's it for the card making portion. Below is a little update on the goings on around here:
Edit: Just clarify... the bride below is NOT me. That is my husband's cousin and we went to her wedding in S. Ca. You can see us dressed in our wedding finery in the pics following.
We have been in and out of town and all over for the past two weeks. We were at a wedding in Southern California where my husbands cousin got married.
The bride and her dad.

My little darlings.

Me and the hubby.
Both my kids had birthdays and we celebrated with a pool party at the local pool.
I cleaned out and reorganized my closet! Oh it was such a pig stye! I am too embarrassed to show the before pics!

I recovered all the dining room chairs. The kids ripped one and of course no matching fabric on hand I had to redo them all. I do like the way they turned out.

Before
After! So anyway its been busy around here! My daughter started jr. high this week and my son will be back in school on Monday. The count down for me has started as well and I have been spending time down at my job getting ready for the new year to start up. Thanks as always for coming by. I know its annoying when the posts don't update every day! I'm going to try to do better!

Waltzingmouse Blog Party
Hello friends! Its the 17th which means its time for the Waltzingmouse blog party! You can get all the details here! For this party we were to draw inspiration from a photo on the WMS blog. I don't have a copy but if you head over on the link you should see it. Its a lovely teal room with three paneled rectangles and some cherry branches. Gray and orange are also featured in the color scheme.

I used a light teal background stamped with the diamonds from Heirloom Patterns. I used my spellbinders for the little rectangle panels. The branches are from Teeny Trees, as is the sentiment. I used some orange ribbon and orange gems to complete the card. I had fun making it, especially using these colors. thanks for stopping in!
PS: A quick little shout out to my husband who is the best dad to our kids! Happy Father's day!

Waltzingmouse Gift Set
Hello friends! If you liked yesterday's card, then you will like today's post. If yesterday's card didn't do it for you- avert your eyes! LOL! Anyway I liked the WMS sketch card so much that I made a complete set in different colors. I added matching envelopes and a little box to put them all in.
The whole group and the matching envelopes. That is one of WMS label sets used on the envelopes. On the back flap I used the little bird again.

In yellow here. I also changed up the sentiments.
A close up of the pink card.
The box I made to house them in. The colors look a little off here, not sure why. Maybe it needs to go back to photoshop! LOL

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 101

Why hello there friends! Its Saturday, which means its Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge time! You can get all the details at the WMS Sketch blog. Today I pulled out my most favorite of all WMS sets, Teeny Trees! I stamped the tree and the sentiment in New Leaf. The trunk is in Kraft. The little bird is from the Half Pint Heroines set. I colored it with my copics. The background is from Heirloom backgrounds. It is the smaller houndstooth. Thanks so much for visiting me today! I have three more days of work and then SUMMER- so hopefully more blog updates to come! Edit: if you liked this card you may want to see the whole set... here

Star Tree

Good Morning Friends! I have another tree for you today- shocking I know. I am not sure how much I like this card. Sometimes I look at it and I think how cool and other times I am like, hmmmmm. Anyhow the patterned paper is from Echo Park. The star borders and little stars are from PTI's border die. The sentiment is from star prints. I totally feel like stamping today but instead I have to go to work and then sit through a long and boring PTO meeting. Joy. Maybe this weekend.

Teeny Trees with Hand Drawn Frames
Good Morning friends! I have a little set of cards I made the other day with Teeny Trees.

They all have the same layout and then I just switched up the colors and the sentiments. I am using a kraft base. The trees are stamped in kraft ink, the tops in new leaf. The little hearts were die cut from echo park paper. I hand drew the frames with white gel pen and a T-square. I hand wrote the sentiments.

This one is my favorite. I love the polka dot paper. One of the few I have used all up!

This is my least favorite because I wasn't paying attention and capitalized the sentiment. grrr! Thanks for stopping in! I hope you have a great day!

If you ever have questions on color just send me a comment. Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 45
Good Afternoon! Are you enjoying your Sunday? Did you know its Waltzingmouse Stamps release day? You should run right over and check out all the great stamps Claire has to offer this month. I ended up getting both Doily sets and Say It Loud. I can't wait for my royal mail!
Today I have a card for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #45. You can find the details here.

For this card I used some Soft Stone Cardstock. I stamped it with one of the backgrounds from the PicNic Patterns set (WMS) The flowers are also from that set. The sentiment is from Teeny Trees. I used some buttons and ribbon on the side. Some really old Heidi Swap bling and some cardstock punched with an EK success punch.

A close up of the shiny things! LOL! Thanks for stopping in!
