Hello there friends! Twice in a work week- wow I am impressing myself! Ha ha! Anyway I have a gift set that I made the other day for you all to take a look at.
This is the original card and envie that I made. I was playing with Star Prints and then I pulled out a couple of older sets that also have stars (Its a Celebration and Everyday Classics). The big sentiment is from Think Big Sentiments. I wanted a totally flat card for my set. Most people don't like to pay extra postage for big funky bows.
This is the packaging. I used a box that my stamps came in to hold the envies and cards. I wrapped it with a belly band made of Doodlebug patterned paper. I added a bow, a die cut star, and a handmade label (Just for You set).
Then last week's MIM came out and I thought this was the perfect card to "layer up". I wanted to do it three ways but alas I only got to two and even then I missed the MIM deadline. But here is what I have: Same basic layout with some of the stars stamped twice and popped up with foam. Then I got out some bling and went to town. Thats tiny star bling on the polkadot green star. So cute.

Make It Monday- Glitter Die Cuts
Hello Friends! I have a Make It Monday entry for you today. You can find all the MIM details here. Apparently the only way I can get a MIM done is if I actually do it and take pictures of it on Monday! I still have last weeks MIM half done on my desk. Oh well.
I got my PTI order today. Yes I am weak. I had to have the new color (which is a purple-not on this card). Since I was ordering I picked up Maile Belles new set, Trendy Trees. The patterned paper here is from Echo Park and Pink Paisley.
The glittered portion is the top of the tree. I do not own a Xyron so I used score tape before I cut the topper. Then I peeled off the tape and added all the glitter.
One more shot. Hard to see the glitter here, but its very sparkly in real life.

Wedding Card Two Ways
Hello friends! Its been awhile. Work is really busy right now. State testing in May, lots of end of the year activities and things. Haven't hardly had a chance to breathe. Also, its baseball season for my little guy. Baseball is a huge time eater!
Anyway, today I have the same basic card done two ways. I like the first one best but I think the second one is ok too. I dont think either of them are very mailable! LOL! Oh well. I used Pretty Peonies from Papertrey Ink. The bow on the second card looks ginormous but I think that is the camera angle its really not that big!

Another Birdie and Envie Combo
Hello blog friends! Well I just had the scare of my life when I tried to log into my blog and it said my account had been disabled! And then suddenly on try number three it turned back on. I have no idea what that was all about. Anyway I have for you today another card like yesterdays. Different colors but the same basic idea.

Little Birdie with Matching Envie!
Hello blog friends! Its Tuesday and I am back to work, that break was short lived! I did get some cards made on vacation and even got pictures so hopefully I will have some time to share this week.
This card combines a couple of my old favorites along with a new favorite! The houses are from PTI Bird Watching. The birds are from Little Bitty Bird. My new favorite is the background stamp which is from WMS heirloom backgrounds (same bg set that I used on the flower cards last week). The patterned paper is from the new 6x6 Doodlebug.
Here is the matching lined envelope. I love lining envelopes, they look so professional! I used the envie liner die from PTI.
The front of the envelope featuring a fillable frame and bitty bird.
The back of the envie. The details make all the difference! Now to actually send this to someone!

Making Lemonade Out of Lemons....
Or how to fix the card you just spent 30 minutes coloring on. This card originally looked like the two I shared yesterday- right up until I dropped an ink pad on it. Yep, sad but true. I couldnt let all the work go to waste so here is my fix.
I trimmed out the flower and leaves. Luckily the ink pad only hit the sentiment and white space. Next I took a piece from the base (the kraft portion) because the rest of it ripped when I was peeling off the flower. I made a new base out of plum pudding cardstock. I stamped the panel with the sentiment and added a little bit of ribbon and bling. Yay, a card saved after all! Thanks for stopping by!

In Bloom Roses
Well good morning friends! I am up early because we have a 9am baseball game today. I do not enjoy it, not at all. Plus its cold. Sorry I go off topic so quickly! Anyway today I give you the birthday card I made for my mom. Its got the big rose from In Bloom. I masked the rose to add the leaves and then colored it all with my copics. The background is stamped with the houndstooth from the new set Heirloom Pattens by Waltzingmouse Stamps. The sentiment is from PTI- Botanical Garden.
Here we have essentially the same card in a different color scheme, with a different sentiment and a different background from the same background set. Waltzingmouse backgrounds are awesome they are the full length of the card and super easy to line up and you get so many in one package. This set has 5 different backgrounds in it!

Let Your Heart Sing
Hello Friends! I am 5 for 5 this week- unbelievable how easy it is to keep up the blog when one doesn't have to work everyday. Today I have a little card featuring Bitty Bird and Bitty Bird Additions. The grass is from the Hanging Out set. I love that grass! A little bit of copic action on the house and the tree branch. Some twine from my mega roll from May Arts- I will be able to pass it on to the kids when I die, no way will I ever use it up.

Bitty Bird with Doodlebug Paper
Hello there blog friends! I have some more bitty bird for you today. And some lovely patterned paper too. The pp is from doodlebug. The blue is 12x12 but the flowers are from their new 6x6 pads. Yes, doodlebug in 6x6! LOVE! There are quite a few different sets here. I have the bird house from bird watching. The little flowers and the little stems are from Tag Its. And then the birds are from Little Bitty Bird. Most everything is done in copics except for the yellow bird, he is paper pieced. I hand cut that scalloped tag, its also from Tag Its. Thanks for stopping in!

Congrats on Your New Home (Plus Some Extra Rambling by Me)
Good Morning! Day 3 of my spring break and I am a happy girl. Its 8am and I am still in my pjs. Truth be told I drove the kids to school in them. Ack! I promise I didnt leave the car. Today I have a card I made with PTI boards and beams. Its not a set I use often and find it difficult to get a clear stamp of that house but once that is out of the way I love coloring it. Thats all I have for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
PS. Did you see the Hunger Games? Did you read the books? I read them all and then saw the movie yesterday. I thought they did a pretty good job although I think they let the Katniss character off a little easy in the movie. She is not nearly as hard as she is in the book. Loved how they showed the game makers in their little room making the game. That was really cool. Thoughts?

Little Bitty Bird Welcomes Baby
Good Morning blog friends! I have some Bitty Bird for you today. Just love Heather Nichols' stamp designs. Totally my style. I stamped all the elements in kraft ink. Then added the details with both stamps and copic markers. The sentiment and the grass are from Hanging Out.
I'm on Spring Break this week, but my kids are back in school so I am looking forward to lots of crafty time. Also some movie watching and book reading. I plan on being a slug. LOL! Have a great week!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge
Hi friends! Its time for the WMS sketch challenge. I am home, its spring break, and I had some time so I thought I would play along. The challenge for this week is One Layer. You can see the details here. So whats does one layer mean really? Well if you look at the examples you can see it means different things to different people. I think of my card as a one layer but then I can see where you might think its two. Originally it was just going to be the white base but it needed something.... Anyway here it is:
I used WMS Cottage Home and lots of copic marker coloring. The sentiment is from PTI. Thanks for stopping in today.
