Wedding Card

Hello friends!  I have a wedding card for you today which is not something that I make too often.  I used an old set from PTI called Wedding Day along with a newer PTI set called Love Birds.  The background is made with two stamps from Wedding Day.  I drew out a grid with my T square to keep things on track.  I stamped in silver ink on Enchanted evening paper.  I cut down a strip of vellum and combined the Love Bird sentiment with a sentiment from wedding day.  Stamped those in Enchanted evening.  I stamped the bird cage on silver paper and cut it out.  Added two enchanted evening birdies.  Thats all there is to it!

Wanted to let you know the blog posting will be real sporatic until after the 24th of July.  I've got some out of town and in town plans that will leave no time for crafting let alone picture taking and blogging.  I do have a couple of photos still waiting to be blogged and if I have time I will schedule them but right now I am thinking thats probably not going to happen.  So in any case thanks for coming by and I will see you in the end of July!

Wedding Card Two Ways

Hello friends!  Its been awhile.  Work is really busy right now.  State testing in May, lots of end of the year activities and things.  Haven't hardly had a chance to breathe.  Also, its baseball season for my little guy.  Baseball is a huge time eater!P1060940 Anyway, today I have the same basic card done two ways.  I like the first one best but I think the second one is ok too.  I dont think either of them are very mailable! LOL!  Oh well.  I used Pretty Peonies from Papertrey Ink.  The bow on the second card looks ginormous but I think that is the camera angle its really not that big!

If I Can Make a Doily....

so can you! Have you seen this fabulous tutorial by Betsy Veldman? She tells you everything you need to stamp your own fabby little doily. Its kind of addicting once you get started. For my doily I used these stamp sets: Spooky Sweets 2 (biggest circle), Wedding Day (inner circle), Guidelines two ( middle portion under and around the button), Borders and Corners circle (scallop), the little design inbetween the scallops is from Waltzingmouse Very Vintage Labels. The little dottie stamp is from Wedding Day. Love making all those stamps work together! I stamped them in dark chocolate on rustic cream paper. The pp are really old My Minds Eye papers. The ribbon was a buck from Tuesday Morning. So what are you waiting for? Go read Betsy's tutorial and give doily making a try!

Peach Wedding Day

Hi all! I have finally finished with my main summer obligation- teaching science to other elementary school teachers. It was a wonderful week but wow, I did nothing else. No crafting, cooking, cleaning, reading...nothing. It ended Saturday and I made this card shortly after. I used PTI's YOF Rose for both flower and sentiment. The background uses PTI tin type. I used Melon berry paper and ink. The leaves are ripe avocado, flower is stamped in palette noir. The flower is colored with my trusty copics. Its mounted on some PTI vellum. Thanks for stopping by! I am hoping to update regularly this week.

Yippee! A Card!

Well I had planned a crafty weekend... but life got the best of me once again.  I did get this one card made.  It took me two hours!  Way, way longer then normal.  This one is for my sister in law who is getting married on Saturday!  Yay!  My daughter and son are both going to be in the wedding.  I just know they are going to be frieking adorable.   Anyway back to the card.  I started by stamping that small strip of pp.  I actually made a full sheet of that using PTI's grid line cardstock, guidelines 1, aquamist and enchanted evening ink.  The card base is enchanted evening.  The oval from Wedding Day is stamped on aquamist cs.  All the other stamps are also from the Wedding Day set.  The ribbon is enchanted evening twill with some of the silver that PTI sold last christmas (um yeah first time I have used it... me thinks maybe I buy too much?).  The bling is from Heidi Swapp.  It was orignally a circle.  I made it become oval.  Hope you  like!
