Little Bitty Bird Thanks

image
Hello friends.  I have a little bitty bird thank you card today.  One layer, three colors.  Simple and easy.  I needed a ton of thank yous after we had a small house warming party.  My friends are so sweet and brought me fun little gifts.  I went to my stash for thank yous but all I found were birthday.  Isn't that how it always is?  You never have what you need!  Anyway time was of importance so I whipped up a few of these guys.  I love bitty bird!  Thanks for stopping in!

Make It Monday #99

Hello friends!  Today I have a card for you from PTI's Make It Monday Challenge.  You can find the details of the challenge here.  The idea today was to use rainbows and repeats.  I chose to use color scheme #6- Summer Sunrise, Limeaid Ice, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Raspberry Fizz.
P1070696
I chose to use Little Birdie and Little Birdie Additions for my card.  I also used a sentiment and music notes from Birds of a Feather.  The squiggly line is from Little Birdie.  I just love a clean and simple challenge!  Thanks for stopping by!

Another Birdie and Envie Combo

P1060935
Hello blog friends!  Well I just had the scare of my life when I tried to log into my blog and it said my account had been disabled!  And then suddenly on try number three it turned back on.  I have no idea what that was all about.  Anyway I have for you today another card like yesterdays.  Different colors but the same basic idea.

Little Birdie with Matching Envie!

Hello blog friends!  Its Tuesday and I am back to work, that break was short lived!  I did get some cards made on vacation and even got pictures so hopefully I will have some time to share this week.
P1060931
This card combines a couple of my old favorites along with a new favorite!  The houses are from PTI Bird Watching.  The birds are from Little Bitty Bird.  My new favorite is the background stamp which is from WMS heirloom backgrounds (same bg set that I used on the flower cards last week).  The patterned paper is from the new 6x6 Doodlebug.
P1060932
Here is the matching lined envelope.  I love lining envelopes, they look so professional!  I used the envie liner die from PTI.
P1060933
The front of the envelope featuring a fillable frame and bitty bird.
P1060934
The back of the envie.  The details make all the difference!  Now to actually send this to someone!

Let Your Heart Sing

P1060912
Hello Friends!  I am 5 for 5 this week- unbelievable how easy it is to keep up the blog when one doesn't have to work everyday.  Today I have a little card featuring Bitty Bird and Bitty Bird Additions.  The grass is from the Hanging Out set.  I love that grass!  A little bit of copic action on the house and the tree branch.  Some twine from my mega roll from May Arts- I will be able to pass it on to the kids when I die, no way will I ever use it up.

Bitty Bird with Doodlebug Paper

P1060909
Hello there blog friends!  I have some more bitty bird for you today.  And some lovely patterned paper too.  The pp is from doodlebug.  The blue is 12x12 but the flowers are from their new 6x6 pads.  Yes, doodlebug in 6x6!  LOVE!  There are quite a few different sets here.  I have the bird house from bird watching.  The little flowers and the little stems are from Tag Its.  And then the birds are from Little Bitty Bird. Most everything is done in copics except for the yellow bird, he is paper pieced.  I hand cut that scalloped tag, its also from Tag Its.  Thanks for stopping in!

Little Bitty Bird Welcomes Baby

P1060907
Good Morning blog friends!  I have some Bitty Bird for you today.  Just love Heather Nichols' stamp designs.  Totally my style.  I stamped all the elements in kraft ink.  Then added the details with both stamps and copic markers.  The sentiment and the grass are from Hanging Out.
I'm on Spring Break this week, but my kids are back in school so I am looking forward to lots of crafty time.  Also some movie watching and book reading.  I plan on being a slug.  LOL!  Have a great week!

PTI March Blog Hop

Its PTI bloghop time! Above is the inspiration photo that you can find with all the details on Nichole's blog. I don't know if I ever mentioned this but I find it so hard to work from a sketch or an inspiration photo. Most of the time I just sit down at my desk and go. Rarely do I look at anything before hand. So I always find these kinds of things really challenging for me. P1060898
I have had little bitty bird on my desk for awhile now.  So I just pulled it out again to make this card.  I thought this up last night.  Its not a super original idea as I have seen other cards (with various other animals, etc.) lined up with one different.  I thought it would work well with Little Birdie.  I paperpieced all the birds and all the stripes.  I used a new Doodlebug 6x6 pad and some PTI patterned paper.   Thats all their was to it!  Thanks for coming by!

Bitty Bird Valentine

P1060843 Hello blog friends! I have the Valentine I made for my hubby to show you today. Sorry its a little late for inspiration this year! I was really busy with work, lesson plans etc. but last night while I was running (jogging, actually) I got distracted and turned my head for a second. Well that was all it took. My foot came down on the edge of the asphalt, I rolled my ankle and went head first into a gully. I landed on my shoulder in a mess of gravel. So today I am nursing lots of cuts, bruises, and worst of all, a severely sprained ankle. Will go to the dr. today and let a professional look at it because its a mess. However no walking means no work. No way can I stand and teach all day. I thought about trying to sit and teach but then upon reflection decided I should give this poor foot at least one full day of rest. I have some crutches (yes I am such a klutz I own crutches) and thats how I am getting around at the moment. Well that was probably more info than you needed, eh? P1060844
So anyway, onto the card.  I started with a piece of cream cardstock.  I stamped it with the little birds and branches from Bitty Bird (PTI).  The heart is from Simple Valentine and the sentiment is from Love Birds.  The birds and leaves are colored with copic markers.  I lined the inside of the card (um cause I dropped an ink pad on it) with some blue patterned paper (PTI) and I stamped it with a simple little sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

Happy Anniversary PTI Challenge

Bitty bird
Hello Friends! I came home from my MIL's to see that PTI had started their anniversary festivities. So that means its challenge and contest time! I created this card for the challenge. You can see the details here. It's inspired by Heather Nichols. I used her sets, Bitty Bird and Fillable Frames. I used her signature Kraft paper and some white gel pen accents. Heather always inspires me. I really like her CAS style and her rustic feel.
I started this card with a Kraft base.  I centered the frame and stamped it in Dark Chocolate Ink.  I masked it off and then stamped the rustic branches all around.  Next I added the tiny butterfly, sentiment and bird.  I came back with my paper stump and some ink (I was using dew drop chalk inks) and "colored" the leaves and butterflies.  I stamped some berries and then used my gel pen to add some accents.  Thanks for stopping in today!

Hello Friend

P1060796
Good Morning Friends!  Today I have a different take on the card I shared yesterday.  Same stamp set, colors, and elements- but arranged differently.  I love this card.  Who knew Hawaiian shores and Orange Zest could look so good together?  Thanks for stopping by!

Moxie Fab Die Cutting Challenge

P1060795
Hello Friends!  Have you been by Moxie Fab lately?  Perhaps you have seen this die cutting challenge?  One nice thing about this challenge was how long you have to get it done!  I saw it last week and have been working on it in my spare time.  Anyhow, on to the card!
I'm using PTI product here (yes, I have an unhealthy, obsessive love with PTI). The stamp set is Little Bitty Bird.  The white die cut is Mat Stack 4.  The blue die cuts are the leafy vine border and the Victorian Lace border.  I cut them out and then glued them down with liquid glue.  The die cut is adhered with dimensionals.  Thanks for stopping in!

More Little Bitty Bird in Winter

P1060587
Hello blog friends!  Earlier this week I was a creating machine, so hopefully the blog will be all updated this week!  One thing I was working on was making "Winterberry" creations without actually buying the set.  I really like the set but I have so many similar things and honestly I only use Christmas stamps for about 3 months a year.  So I pulled out some similar sets and went to work.  The tree and birds are from Little Bitty Bird.  The berries and sentiment are from Rustic Branches.  The star is from Love Lives Here Holiday (yes I caved last month, but I held strong this month!).  The snowflakes are from Rustic Snowflake.  I drew in the drifts with an American Crafts paint pen and then added white ink with my fingers.  A little copic coloring on the birds and the tree and thats it.  Oh I also used some of the three million yards of bakers twine that I thought would be an awesome purchase last Christmas.  At this rate I will have some for Christmas 2050.

Welcome Back!

Hi! Welcome back! Its been a week since I last posted. Can you believe I was without internet that whole time? Wow, it was so weird... the first few days I felt like an addict without a fix! Anyhow I changed internet companies since company one didn't think fixing my internet should be a priority. Then there was some wait time while company two installed everything. Now we are up and running and things are so far going well. In the meantime I have been very busy at work and got almost no crafting time in. I do, however, have a card to show you today.

Thank you Birds

Hey there is a bird for every occasion! LOL! I worked on a bunch of new stuff this weekend too- and no birds, LOL! If you are sick of birds, I promise some other stamps in the next few days. But today's card features Bitty Bird and Fillable frames. I think the sentiment is from the Signature series. Paper along the bottom is from Pretty Pastels. The birds are cut out and popped up for a little extra oomph. Thanks for stopping in!

Little Birdie in the Love Tree

Good Morning Bloggy Friends! Did you enjoy your extra day off? I normally don't work on Mondays so really it just messes me up when the kids are off and everyone else is wandering around, lol. Anyway I did get a bit of crafting done this weekend. For this card I used a kraft base. I rounded the corners. I added a sweet blush die cut (labels 14? or maybe 8? sorry I am too lazy to go look). Then I got a smaller die cut and added my birdie stamps. I used a little heart from Simple Valentine to make a heart tree. The round sentiment is also from Simple Valentine. I've got three buttons across the bottom with pearls in the center. I think that about covers it. Thanks for stopping in! Oh and if you have a minute I have a new card up over at Waltzingmouse Makers. Link in the sidebar ----->

Birdie Stamp Mash Up

Good Morning my bloggy friends! Today I have a card that uses all three PTI bird sets. The egg and nest are from birds of a feather, the birds and branch are from Little Bitty Bird, and the sentiment is from Bird Watching. The text in the background is from PTI Background Basics: Hearts. A little copic coloring and a little chai tea inking and you are all done. Thanks for coming by today!

Little Birdie Finds a Home

Hi there blog friends! I finally got my Little Bird set from PTI and I ran to my stamps to dig out Bird Watching because I just knew these two would go well together. I never cared for the birds in bird watching because they were solid and the houses were outlines. Peeps it needs to be all solid or all outline I do not like the whole solid and outline mixy matchy. Anyway these birds from Little Bitty Bird are the perfect scale for the cute bird houses. I have been a happy girl stamping away today!
On this first card I mixed my bird houses and bitty birds with one of my fillable frames sets. I colored everything using my copics. Let me offer you a little tip here, if you are coloring on PTI's vintage cream the copics are going to spread more than normal. So stay back away from the line. Give the color somewhere to move to. Also the darker the color the more it bleeds so when using dark brown or dark red be really careful.
This card I took the same basic stamping "picture" and trimmed it closer. Colors and "picture" are basically the same, however I added two more hearts to make the picture more vertical for my vertical card. Its colored almost identical to the first one. I added a fillable frame that I matted on some red bitty dot paper. I paper pieced two of the hearts and then colored the bird to match. I also used my white gel pen to add a little border to the longer picture.

Next is the details... now I dont always do these things. Sometimes I am too tired or too hurried. But its the details that really make a project stand out. Take the back of the envelope for instance- here I added a little bird and the word hello. What a nice little surprise for the recipient. Thats not something you find at hallmark.
Here I lined the envie with bitty dot paper. If you have the PTI envie die this is a simple and easy step. Sure the envelope might get tossed. Who cares? Look at the impact this has. This makes people stop and say Wow!
And finally we have the front of the envie. The fillable frames make the perfect address frames. So quick and easy to do. If you have a little extra time add one of the stamps you used on the card or a coordinating stamp. Here I have two little birds and the heart. I generally dont color on envies because of the whole bleeding thing but if you wanted to you could. Just slip a little scrap of card inside to soak up the ink. Easy peasy and really worth the extra effort to make something stand out.
