More Waltzingmouse Love

Hello friends! I have another Waltzingmouse card for you today. This one uses Spring Baskets, which is one of my favorite sets. Claire packs so much goodness into one set, its amazing all the things you can do with it.  For starters the basket is in two pieces.  The bottom and top are different stamps.  The daffodils are also a separate stamp.
 P1060861
I colored the basket and butterflies with my copics.  When I color this basket I color each little strip individually.  It takes more time, but I like the effect it has.
 P1060860
A close up of the tag. These are the only non-waltzingmouse stamps. The circle and sentiment are from PTI. Circle is from Boxs, bags, and tags. Sentiment is from Mixed Messages. Tag is is from cuttlebug (provo craft).  Those little tags are some of the only dies I have from provo craft.  They are worth digging out the second B plate. The butterfly is paper pieced.
P1060859
One more look...  Can you see the versamark butterflies in the background?  I stamped them all around the edge before I attached the main panel.  The twine is something new I picked up from May Arts.  I bought it on Amazon.  400 yards or something like that.  It will last me until I die.  LOL Thanks for stopping in.

Valentine Pouches and Bookmarks

P1060849 Hello friends! I have some Valentine fun for you today. These are the pouches I made for my kids' teachers.  I got the cute little bags from Michelle Phillippi.  You can buy them in her shop.  I folded them half way up and then secured them with score tape.  This gives you two pouches.  One from the fold and one in the bag.  I have seen them done where people sew them but I do not enjoy sewing.  The score tape worked great.  Next I added lots of little fun pieces from pink and red cardstock and some patterned paper (Simple Valentine)  In the bag are some giant Ghirardelli bars and some smaller candy and a bookmark.

P1060848
Here are all three together.  Each one is a little different.  I get bored doing the same old thing.
 P1060847
Next the little bookmarks.  I used the bookmark die, some old ribbon, scrap paper and Simple Valentine and Tiny Treats stamps.
 P1060846
Last we have the candy bar wrap.  I did this up for my hubby.  Its another giant Ghirardelli Chocolate bar.  I wrapped it in pp and added a stamped embellishment.
That's all I have!  Thanks for stopping in!

Waltzingmouse Blog Party!

Hey there blog friends!  Guess what?  Its the Waltzingmouse Blog Party!!!  I just realized I haven't been giving my WMS enough love lately.  So here I am with an entry to the blog party.  The theme this month is spring and you can read all about it here:  Waltzingmouse

P1060855 And here is my entry!  Nothing says spring like a cute little Chickie!  All stamps are by Waltzingmouse stamps.  In the background we have Dainty Doilies (these are the best and only doilies you will ever need!).  The label is from Holiday Labels 14.  The polka dot is my favorite.  The little chickie in the egg is from Lil Buddies and the sentiment is from Spring baskets.  Patterned paper is from BoBunny.

Bitty Bird Valentine

P1060843 Hello blog friends! I have the Valentine I made for my hubby to show you today. Sorry its a little late for inspiration this year! I was really busy with work, lesson plans etc. but last night while I was running (jogging, actually) I got distracted and turned my head for a second. Well that was all it took. My foot came down on the edge of the asphalt, I rolled my ankle and went head first into a gully. I landed on my shoulder in a mess of gravel. So today I am nursing lots of cuts, bruises, and worst of all, a severely sprained ankle. Will go to the dr. today and let a professional look at it because its a mess. However no walking means no work. No way can I stand and teach all day. I thought about trying to sit and teach but then upon reflection decided I should give this poor foot at least one full day of rest. I have some crutches (yes I am such a klutz I own crutches) and thats how I am getting around at the moment. Well that was probably more info than you needed, eh? P1060844
So anyway, onto the card.  I started with a piece of cream cardstock.  I stamped it with the little birds and branches from Bitty Bird (PTI).  The heart is from Simple Valentine and the sentiment is from Love Birds.  The birds and leaves are colored with copic markers.  I lined the inside of the card (um cause I dropped an ink pad on it) with some blue patterned paper (PTI) and I stamped it with a simple little sentiment.
 P1060845
Thanks so much for visiting me today!

PTI Challenge- Butterflies

P1060842
Hello friends! Its been awhile! We had a bout of sickness go through the house. My daughter and I were both down with it for awhile. However, I am back today with a new PTI Anniversary challenge. This one involves Butterflies and you can read about it here.
My card today uses Butterflies from the set Butterfly Dreams.  The leaves are from Turning a New Leaf.  The sentiment is from Big Birthdays (or something like that...sorry!) and the frame is from Fillable Frames Additions.  I messed this card up big time!  It was originally a single layer cream card with only the butterflies layered on.  It was all done and I went to stamp the back with my custom name stamp and completely screwed it up.  I couldn't toss it though so I cut apart the front and layered it on some Spring Moss cardstock.  I also cut out the inside and adhered it to the inside of the card.  All better now!  I leave you with a close up of the little butterflies.  Some are popped up with dimensionals and others are adhered straight down.  Thanks for stopping in!

Happy Anniversary PTI Challenge

Bitty bird
Hello Friends! I came home from my MIL's to see that PTI had started their anniversary festivities. So that means its challenge and contest time! I created this card for the challenge. You can see the details here. It's inspired by Heather Nichols. I used her sets, Bitty Bird and Fillable Frames. I used her signature Kraft paper and some white gel pen accents. Heather always inspires me. I really like her CAS style and her rustic feel.
I started this card with a Kraft base.  I centered the frame and stamped it in Dark Chocolate Ink.  I masked it off and then stamped the rustic branches all around.  Next I added the tiny butterfly, sentiment and bird.  I came back with my paper stump and some ink (I was using dew drop chalk inks) and "colored" the leaves and butterflies.  I stamped some berries and then used my gel pen to add some accents.  Thanks for stopping in today!

Baby Shower Ensemble

Hello Blog Friends! I don't know if I mentioned it but I am expecting a new little niece or nephew. My SIL is due in March! This weekend we are having her baby shower. I was charged with favors, invites, and prize gift bags. I somehow never got a picture of the 40+ invites... but I do have some pictures of the other things. P1060808
Prize bags and favors
P1060809 P1060814
Gift bag and tag. Yes I stamped a giant gift bag! It took a little bit to get it done!
P1060817
Gift bag with the matching gift card. Sorry the lighting is not the best on these. The sun was already going down by the time I had some time for pictures. I used mostly PTI product, although the pin stripe on the card is from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  From PTI I used Polka Dot Basics, Sweet Baby, Mat Stack 4 set, Bitty Baby, Boxes, Bags and Tags.  The patterned paper is Happy Dots from PTI.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Gift bag

Good morning blog friends!  I used my iphone to take the picture in Instagram so the colors are a little off, sorry about that.  That patterned paper is aqua colored.  The ink is dark chocolate.  I got the tiny lunch bag at Michaels.  There were a dozen in a bag for about 2-3 bucks.  I put some yummy chocolate chip cookies in there for a friend.  The plaid is made with Waltzingmouse's plaid stamp (I cut it apart and used only the skinny side), the sentiment and frame are from PTI.

Stitches and Swirls Thank You

P1060802
Good Morning blog friends! I have a quick little card for you today.   I was trying to use up some of the many vellum strips I have left over from making my SIL's baby shower invites.  Pretty simple to do the only thing that may need explanation is the leaf die cut.  I covered the cardstock with scor tape and then glitter and then I die cut it.  Works pretty well, but it does stick the die a bit.  Thanks for stopping in!

Valentine's Pockets

Hello Friends! I have a cute little Valentine Pocket for you today. P1060807
Its made with half of a kraft envelope.  You seal up the envie and the cut it in half.  Now you have a nice little pocket.  Next you take some Valentine paper, cardstock and stamps and start decorating.  I used Simple Valentine paper, Tiny Treats, Simple Valentine, and Love Birds stamps.  Just start mixing and matching until you come up with something you like.  Stuff the inside with chocolates or whatever you have laying around.
P1060806
I used the same sets and paper for this pocket as well.  My daughter liked this one, my son preferred the dog.  I guess we know who is getting what for V-day now!  LOL, thanks for stopping in!

Thank You!!

P1060800
Good morning friends! Looks like its been a week since I checked in last! Hate when my real life gets so crazy I can't even upload photos! LOL! Today I have a card that features the free set that PTI sent out last month with people's December orders.  I got really lucky because one of my forum friends, JuneK, sent me her extra set!  I am always so amazed by the generosity of others.  I made this little card to thank her.  Of course in true slacker style, I just got it in the mail today.  So June- its on the way!  Anyway fairly simple construction,  I used Mat Stack 5 under the sentiment.  The polka dots are from Polka dot basics.  The glittery bits are made with a die cut, scor tape and martha stewart glitter.  Thats all I have for today- gotta get to work!  Thanks for stopping in!
Edit:  I am going to enter this in Rhonda's Thankful Thursday.  Have you seen it?  Its a cute idea.  Go here for the details.   Speaking of thankful... I am so thankful my little guy is loving his guitar lessons!  Finally something he is really into.

Happy Birthday Die Cut Card

P1060798
Good Morning Friends!  Do you see a theme lately?  Its like once I cut a piece of cardstock, I cant stop!  This card used Beautiful Blooms 2 and Ad Sense Dies and stamps.  Pretty self explanatory construction, totally not at all what I was going for when I started.  I think it looks better in person than in the photos.  Anyway just thought I'd share.  I have a couple of new cards in different colors that I started last night so maybe something new and different tomorrow!  Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Friend

P1060796
Good Morning Friends!  Today I have a different take on the card I shared yesterday.  Same stamp set, colors, and elements- but arranged differently.  I love this card.  Who knew Hawaiian shores and Orange Zest could look so good together?  Thanks for stopping by!

Moxie Fab Die Cutting Challenge

P1060795
Hello Friends!  Have you been by Moxie Fab lately?  Perhaps you have seen this die cutting challenge?  One nice thing about this challenge was how long you have to get it done!  I saw it last week and have been working on it in my spare time.  Anyhow, on to the card!
I'm using PTI product here (yes, I have an unhealthy, obsessive love with PTI). The stamp set is Little Bitty Bird.  The white die cut is Mat Stack 4.  The blue die cuts are the leafy vine border and the Victorian Lace border.  I cut them out and then glued them down with liquid glue.  The die cut is adhered with dimensionals.  Thanks for stopping in!

More Stitches and Swirls

P1060792
Good Morning Blog Friends! I have another Stitches and Swirls project for you today.  You can see the blue panel is essentially the same, in fact I made four of them at the same time.  If you are going to get out the embossing powder and the gun you might as well make it worth your while.  This time I paired  up the panel with some orange cardstock and orange pp from Echo Park.  Orange and Blue are across from each other on the color wheel making them compliments to each other.  The tag is from cuttlebug.  The sentiment is from one of the Fillable Frames.  Misc. bling and buttons.  Thanks for stopping by!

Stitches and Swirls

P1060791
Good Morning Blog Friends!  I have a little something for you today featuring PTI's Stitches and Swirls.  I won this not long ago and I am so glad I did!  I stamped the background flowers on the blue cardstock using Versamark.  I embossed in white.  I matted it on some patterned paper- would love to tell you whose, but I have no idea.  I added a little tag (Provo craft) and some bling.  The sentiment is from one of the Fillable Frames series.  A little twine and some white ribbon and we are all done!  Thanks for stopping in!

Stitches and Swirls

P1060778
Hi there blog friends!   I have been making the effort to post more consistantly but I wanted to give you a heads up that I am going to be MIA for the next few days.  However I should have a new post up next Sunday or Monday.  I was a card making machine a few days ago so I still have blog fodder for the next week or two.  Today I have a CAS card using Stitches and Swirls.  I wanted that set so bad and then I won it at the blog hop!  Yay for that!  Free stuff.  Layout and technique are really simple.  Stamped in versamark and embossed with white.  Added some velvet ribbon and some pp (not sure who its by).  That's all there is to it!  Thanks for stopping by.

A More Traditional Thank You

P1060781
My Husband bought me this Penny Black stamp set for Christmas.  I love the little cat.  I love cats.  Rather than stash away for next year I decided to use it to make a few more thank yous.  I love coloring and Penny Black stamps are perfect for that.  The sentiment is from Inside and Out Thank You (PTI).  The base is Pure Poppy and the strip is Ripe Avocado.  Simple and easy to mail!  Thanks for stopping by!

More Thank Yous

Good morning friends. A few more thank yous left over from my color blocking fun. P1060785
The first card uses the negative image.   After I cut the butterflies I trimmed it up to match up with the card front.  I added a sheer ribbon, sentiment stamp, and some stickles.  The die and the sentiment stamp are both PTI.
P1060784
And here is a little something using the positive image.  More stickles, some bling, a button and a little ribbon.  Trail is hand drawn and sentiment is from PTI Inside and Out Thank you.  Thanks for stopping in today!

More Colorblocking Fun

A few more Colorblocked cards. If you are interested in the technique check out Maile Belle's blog which is where I came upon the idea. P1060788
All of these are basically variations on the same theme.  For the actual die cut I pasted the cardstock on some very flimsy stock as my Cuttlebug can not handle two layers of PTI card.  I used some stickles on these and the stamps are from Inside Out Thank You.  All will be used for my Christmas thank yous.

Bundle of Love Box Set

Good Morning Blog Friends and Happy New Year to you!! Today I have the box that goes with the baby thank you cards I shared the other day. Click here to go directly to that post. P1060776

I have made these boxes before and you can find a brief tutorial here. There is no actual stamping on the box. It is made of one sheet of PTI plum pudding cardstock and a sheet of PTI vellum. P1060777
The tag is made using PTI's Tag Sale 4 die.  I die cut that in Plum Pudding.  Next I punched a large scallop circle out of the Happy Dot paper.  Next a circle of plain vellum.  I stamped the sentiment on the vellum.  I stamped the baby on some scrap white and cut it out.  I popped it up with a pop dot.  The tag is tied with string to plum pudding button that is wrapped around the plum bow holding the box lid on.  Quick and fairly easy.  Thanks for stopping in today!

Color Blocked Thank Yous

Hi there blog friends!  I was blog surfing today when I came across this post by Maile Belles.  It shows how to color block with dies and I just had to try it out! P1060774
My first card here features the Christmas tree die from Papertrey ink. I need some Christmas present thank yous and I thought this would work nicely.  I have the Christmas motif with fun non traditional colors.  I used some bling I had laying around and some extra strips to fancy it up.  The sentiment is from Inside and Out Thank you.
P1060775
This second card also uses the Christmas tree. A slightly different layout to change things up.  What do you think?  I think I like the first one best.  Anyway I am off to sign them and get them in the mail.  Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Thank Yous

P1060771
Hey there blog friends! Have you given me up for dead? Sorry for the long absences between posts- I have been busy and I haven't made a darn thing recently. Well haven't made anything except for these cute little baby thank you cards. Clean and simple. I used my newest acquisition- a mini T-Square to make the border frame. If you dont have one of these, you need one. Trust me on this.  It makes those straight lines so easy to do!  Also on this card is the baby from PTI's Bundle of Love.  So cute.  My mom got it for me for Christmas.  The thank you is from one of the Fillable Frames sets.  Not sure which as I keep them all bundled into one or two CD cases.P1060770
Some details for you:  Cardstock is Plum Pudding.  The white panel is 3.75 x 5.0.  I added the black border all around with my Micron pen and a mini T-Square.  Its a quarter of an inch all the way around.  I stamped the baby and the thank you in Memento Tuxedo black.  I added the coordinating bundle stamp in the original Plum Pudding Ink.  I colored the other pieces with my copic marker (V06 and V0000)  The baby is done with E00.  I made up some coordinating envies with the same stamp.  These will be going to my SIL who is going to be giving birth to my new little niece or nephew in March.

Teacher Gifts

Well hello blog friends! Its been awhile. Nothing major, just the usual December madness. I have a couple of paint cans that I decorated for my kids' teachers last week. The kiddos are now on vacation but the school district I work for has us working up until December 23rd!!!! No wonder I feel tired.  Anyway these little cans are from Target.  They were in the dollar spot.  I picked up four (they only had six and two were a little dinged).  I used some old Basic Grey patterned paper and some stamps from WMS and PTI to fancy them up.  It only took about 15 minutes to make both.

More Christmas

Hello there! Are you all busy with the holidays too? It seems I spend every free moment wrapping or decorating or shopping. No time for anything like my little blog! LOL! However I did find time to post this card that I made a few weeks ago. P1060674 I really like the red and pink snowflakes. A little different then my normal style. Thanks for stopping in today! (All materials from PTI)

Christmas Cards

Hello Blog Friends!  I have a couple of cards for you today from my Christmas card frenzy a few weeks ago.
P1060671
This card features the Tree Trimming Trio die cut from PTI.  I stamped it with the light string from Holiday Lights in silver ink.  I added some bling for lights.  I layered some MME patterned paper strips and some Pure Poppy Ribbon as a base and then stamped on the sentiment in Pure Poppy.
P1060673
My second card features the same tree die cut this time stamped with stamps from the Tree Trimming Trio set.  More of the MME patterned paper and some Pure Poppy Twill.  The sentiment is stamped in Pure Poppy.  Nice and flat and easy to mail.  Thanks for stopping in today.
