Waltzingmouse Blog Party!
Hey there blog friends! Guess what? Its the Waltzingmouse Blog Party!!! I just realized I haven't been giving my WMS enough love lately. So here I am with an entry to the blog party. The theme this month is spring and you can read all about it here: Waltzingmouse
And here is my entry! Nothing says spring like a cute little Chickie! All stamps are by Waltzingmouse stamps. In the background we have Dainty Doilies (these are the best and only doilies you will ever need!). The label is from Holiday Labels 14. The polka dot is my favorite. The little chickie in the egg is from Lil Buddies and the sentiment is from Spring baskets. Patterned paper is from BoBunny.

Teacher Gifts

Well hello blog friends! Its been awhile. Nothing major, just the usual December madness. I have a couple of paint cans that I decorated for my kids' teachers last week. The kiddos are now on vacation but the school district I work for has us working up until December 23rd!!!! No wonder I feel tired. Anyway these little cans are from Target. They were in the dollar spot. I picked up four (they only had six and two were a little dinged). I used some old Basic Grey patterned paper and some stamps from WMS and PTI to fancy them up. It only took about 15 minutes to make both.

Pre-Teen Birthday Party Favor Boxs

Hi there blog friends! My little girl is turning 11 on Monday and today we are celebrating with a party at the gymnastics studio. Even though the gym puts together most of the party I thought some party favors were in order. Its kind of hard to know what to do with girls this age- that whole in between stage.

I decided to use PTI favor box #3. I cut them out with my cuttlebug in three different colors. You can get two boxes out of one sheet of 8.5 x 11 or 2 boxes out of one sheet of 12x12. The 12x12 works better as you will sacrifice a little of the side on the smaller paper. I've got a couple of different sets here: PTI: Just for You, Floral Fusion, and Vintage Labels.

Inside the boxes are these handmade jewelry kits. We bought a thing of beads at Michaels. We also bought some beading thread and some charms. Each kid got a tablespoon full of beads, enough thread for a bracelet, and a charm. We used a spellbinder's die (labels one) to make the topper. I filled out the rest of the box with some suckers and some hard candy.

Water Pitcher Set
Hi there blog friends! I have a full card set for you today. It features the water pitcher from PTI's Iconic Images. Also used on the card is the frame from vintage labels.

The whole set.

The pink cards.

The aqua cards.

Close up of the envelope. Thanks so much for stopping by! If my ipod is finally charged I am off to go running! (Something I do not enjoy but have been doing faithfully for the past 3 months.) I have so many complaints about running and exercise perhaps it needs its own post. I haven't done a whiny exercise post in so long! LOL!

Quick and Easy Gift!
Hi all! I think you are going to like today's project! I got the idea from this wonderful post by Jennifer McGuire on the Hero Arts blog. Watch the video it explains how to get that wonderful personalized portion just right everytime. These are quick too! I made a set for each of my kids' teachers and this set for my stepmom (I'm thinking Christmas!) in under two hours. That's 12 cards in under two hours.
I started off with a Vintage Cream base. I followed the Hero Arts tutorial to get the personalized part printed on the front of each card. Next I took my nesties Label one and embossed each card. Then I got my PTI Vintage Label stamp set and stamped the outline. I then die cut four butterflies with my PTI butterfly die. I stamped them with my butterfly dreams stamp set and then colored them with my copics.
Here it is with a blue butterfly!
A pretty orange butterfly!
And last, but not least, a gorgeous green butterfly! Now I just need to order up some cream envies and I am in business for Christmas gifts. Thanks for coming by today!
