Shady Studio Day 3
Hey there! Its release day at Shady Tree Studio! Time to go buy some cute stamps! I have two more cards for you today and then I will have one more tomorrow... once I started I couldn't stop. First up is Santa. Isn't he cute? I colored him with copics, cut him out and then used distress ink on the background. The cardstock is stamped with the snowflake stamp. I also used some vellum and linen ribbon (PTI).
The second card uses the adorable snowman image. He is stamped in dark chocolate and colored with copics. I used a berry sorbet base (PTI) with a blue lacy circle background (blue is bazzill, cut with spellbinders lacy circle die). I used the snowflake on the background here as well. I hope you enjoyed these! Now hop on over to STS and check out the full sets.

Shady Tree Studio Day 2
Hi there! Welcome back for day two of the Shady Tree Studio release. I am using stamps from the Just Believe set. One of the things I like about this set is the nice mix of sentiments and images. On this card I let the sentiment take the stage. I used my nesties to cut out a panel from the front of the card and then a smaller nestie to cut out a piece from some rustic cream cardstock. I stamped my sentiment in dark chocolate ink. I stamped the little star ornament on a second piece of card, colored it and cut it out. I popped it up with a pop dot. I inked it up with wild honey distress ink and popped it in the middle of the cut panel. I inked the main card with tea die from PTI. I love the way it came out and I hope you do too!
This second card uses this adorable little Christmas tree from the Just Believe set. It reminds me of the Charlie Brown Christmas tree, especially with that little blanket around it. I added some glitter to my copic coloring to glitz it up.
My background was made by weaving together scarlet jewel and ripe avocado ribbons (PTI). I matted my tree on some card cut with nesties. I love how this card came out. Especially the ribbon, its so pretty IRL. Come back tomorrow because I will have more awesome stuff from Shady Tree Studio. Also don't forget the rest of the design team. Shady Tree Studio - Day 1
Its release time again at Shady Tree Studio! Nancy has so many beautiful new designs for you! I will be featuring the set named Believe. If you like homey Christmas images, then this is the set for you. If you like to paper piece or color this is also the set for you. So much can be done with it. On this card I am using two stamps, the stocking (stamped 3x) and the sentiment. Look how large and yummy that stocking is? It works great alone or with "friends", LOL! I stamped it three times in Ranger Distress ink (Brushed Corduroy). I colored them pretty with my copics and added some bling to the hangers. I cut a piece of vellum and stamped the sentiment in Brushed Corduroy and then inked the edges. I used vellum tape to attach and then added two big rhinestones (K and Co.). I made the plaid on the stars using my blender pen- so fun and easy!
My second card also uses the stocking stamp. This time I embossed the cardstock with a Nestie die. Next I sponged on Ranger distress ink (brushed corduroy). I stamped my stocking on a separate piece, colored and cut it out. I made a hanger for it with some cute little buttons and twine and attached it with a tiny clothes pin (hero arts). I added the sentiment in red with a little bling. Hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping in! Also don't forget the big contest! You could win the entire release!

One Last Notebook and Some Randomness
Hi friends! I've got one last notebook for you today. Same basic layout, etc. I used PTI rustic cream cardstock, EchoPark paper, and Vintage Picnic and Take Note stamps from PTI. The picture isn't the greatest. I'm sorry about that, I don't think I will ever be a photographer.
Randomness:
I got the happy news that I am getting published again! I am so excited about that! It will be in Paper Craft's 225 Cards and Gifts. Its another gift box. I will be sure to be shouting from the roof tops when it comes out.
In other news it will be a quiet weekend on the blog as I will be at CSTA (California Science Teacher's Association) conference today and Saturday. We also have weekend guests, 2 soccer games, and one school harvest festival. I feel tired just thinking about it!
MONDAY- I will have the first of the sneaks for Shady Tree Studio's latest release. I already have everything made up, taking photos this weekend. You are going to like these stamps. Super cute. Sneaks will run Mon, Tues, and Wed. Release will happen on Wednesday, October 27th. See y'all Monday!

Guidelines Notebook
Good morning! Happy Tuesday (which is my Monday)! I have a little notebook for you today. Its around 3x5. I made it to go with some small notepads I found at Big Lots for 25cents each. What a steal! I drew a grid in pencil on some stampers select white and then stamped my design with elements from PTI's Guidelines one. I used enchanted evening and aquamist inks. The other two stamps are from PTI's Take Note. They are stamped on aquamist card. I tied it all together with some enchanted evening bitty dots ribbon. This is part of the Christmas gift stash I am making for my mom. I am still working on it, so there are a few other notebooks still in the pipeline.
I also wanted to give you a heads up about the next Shady Studio release. I am so excited! I got my sample set on Saturday. You will love this set. I have been making cards ever since I got it. Sneaks start next week on the 25th. Keep an eye out, I think you will really like these!

Waltzingmouse Fall Blog Hop
Every month I want to participate and every month I am swamped. But not this time! This time I have a lovely card that meets the criteria. You can see all the details here. Its an Autumn/ Harvest theme this month. So I have some lovely fall trees for you. I started with a base of Rustic Cream Cardstock (PTI). I added a strip of some patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket. Its from their Nutmeg collection. Super cute paper, I recommend it! LOL I used the paper to select my color palette. I am using PTI inks in Sweet blush, Spring Moss, Terracotta Tile and Aqua Mist. I am using my favorite Waltzingmouse set, Teeny Trees. I stamped the trunks in dark chocolate. Then I used the leaf stamp to add multicolored leaves. I added the sentiment and bird with aqua mist, I tried to put them at a slight angle. I was being artsy- but now it just looks a little crooked- sigh. Ah well. I love the rest of it. Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have fun on the waltz.

STS Charms of Autumn
Hi there friends! I have another Charms of Autumn card by Shady Tree Studio for you today! I just love this image, so much to color. One of the things I like best about Nancy's stamps is how "artsy" they are. Each stamp is a miniature work of art.
Here are the copic colors I used. Some readers were asking me about which colors I use. I never include this because I usually put them all away long before taking the picture. What do you think? Is this information you want to see? If you do, I could try to make more of an effort. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Space Cadet
Oh how I love this little rocket ship! I think I have colored it in every color I have. I love all the different little faces too. This one reminds me of my nephew, Jr. Too bad his bday isn't until April. On this card I used PTI white and Hawaiian shores. The pp is from Echo park. Ribbon and buttons also by PTI. Fabulous Stamps are from Waltzingmouse. The set is Half Pint Heros.

Grocery List
Hi there! So sorry for the sporadic blogging, still getting used to the school schedule. Work is cutting into my free time! My mom was up visiting this past weekend and she asked for a few grocery note pads to give as gifts this Christmas. Mom offered to pay, but I can't take money from my own mom, not after all the things she has done for me. So anyway I have worked on a few in the evening after the kids have gone to bed. This is my favorite so far. I used some of my favorite Echo Park paper. I used PTI Ripe Avocado for the base, Echo Park pp for the mat and for the picnic basket. I used PTI's Take Note and Vintage Picnic stamp sets. I colored some of the details with my copics. A little Ripe Avocado ribbon helps finish it off. Thanks for stopping in today!

Charms of Autumn
Hi blog friends! I've missed you, its been such a busy week. I have had this card for awhile, just waiting to be included in the line up. LOL. When I first received this stamp from Nancy I really wanted the sky to be blue and not black. So I stamped it in this spring rain color. I tried coloring with copics but it was just too much contrast. So next I tried water color pencils and I am really happy with how it turned out. If I could do it again I would make some changes, like the yellow glow on the lantern- um hello? its not night! Also I would not run that rick rack across the whole card. However I wanted to show that the stamp could be done in other colors. Thanks for coming by today! I have company all weekend, I volunteer at my son's school on Monday (normally my day off)- so I don't know how much blog fodder will be up this week, but I do have a post at Waltzingmouse Makers tomorrow.

How 'Bout a Little PTI?
Been awhile since I have had some PTI on the blog. I made this one a few weeks ago. I have been so busy lately I have had very little time to take photos. Maybe tomorrow after work I will get some of the photos done. Sigh. Anyhow...
Here it is, in all its glittery glory! I used Tree Trimming Trio and Background basics Retro. I stamped the background in versamark on Aquamist card. I cut out some scallops and rick rack with my PTI dies. I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Snow on the scallops. I stamped and cut out the tree. Its stamped in aqua mist and colorbox lime pastel. Then I went to town with the stickles. Two different colors- waterfall and crystal. I like this sparkly mess! LOL

Blast Off!
Is this not the cutest image ever? I just adore this little space ship and all the cute interchangeable faces. Claire is the best designer, I love nearly all her ideas. The other thing I love about this set is that is it so much fun to color. Simple coloring, too- no need to get to crazy. Just fun and relaxing. I am in the process of making a package of cards to go to Operation Write Home. This is the first of the bunch. Its a great cause, I urge you to check it out.
Card Deets:
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Half Pint Heros
Paper: Bazzill, PTI
Other: Memento Ink, copics, spica pens
