Up To My Eyeballs...

in commitments! UGH! So thats where I have been. My husband's sweet grandma passed away last week and we had the funeral to go to. It was a 8 hour car ride away. So that was Thursday and Friday. Wednesday I worked late to get everything finished before we left on Thursday. Today I am off for a professional development. I am teaching science content to a wonderful group of K-2 teachers. Its an all day event and a 2 hour drive. Tomorrow I hope and pray I get some time to grocery shop, do laundry, clean up, and change sheets. I have no idea when I will be able to sit back and craft again. YIKES. I do have a WM post tomorrow on the Waltzingmouse Makers blog. Come say hi!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Edit: Thanks for all the birthday wishes! Comments are now closed.
Hey its my birthday but you get the presents!!! I am having a little giveaway and all you need to do is leave me a comment. The big prize is PTI's Polka Dot Basics. I will ship it anywhere so feel free to play no matter where you live! Now if you already own PDB, I have a little gifty of rub ons, stickers, some cute little buttons, and a few other surprises... that will be the runner up prize. So when you leave the comment just say PDB (polka dot basics) or RU (runner up) or both! That way when I draw names/numbers I will know what you want/need. Clear as mud? LOL!
Anyway I am the ripe old age of 37 today. Feeling a little old but I am ok with it. I got lots of kiddos to keep me young (two at home, loads at school). Its a good life!

I am 36 today

Me and My brother circa 1979
I very clearly remember in jr. high telling my BFF that 30 was ancient.  I mean ANCIENT! and I was never going to be that old.  And here I am 36! Now if your 45, your thinking 36 is  young chickie.  And if your 21, you are thinking, yep youre right- your ancient!  Its all relative I guess.  I don't feel 36.  Somedays I feel like I am 20.  My little class of first graders came into lab after lunch today.  They bought me a book of happy birthday wishes- sweet little things.  And then they guessed my age.  I am glad to say they thought I was 19.  I didn't correct them.  My coworkers made a fuss over me at lunch and my hubs took me and the kids and my FIL to dinner.  I got presents and love- it was a great birthday.  I really freaked out at 35 but so far 36 is a piece of cake!

Manic Monday #158

I love to read this blog called Tuesday Update. Its written by Tommie who has some serious decorating and organizational skills. She always plays this game called Manic Monday and I love it. The original comes from a blog called Manic Monday by Fleur de Lisa. I have never played before but today I got the time so I am!
What would you do with an extra hour each day?  Craft, stamp, cut up paper.
Do you wear a watch?  No, but I used to religiously.  If so, tell us about it.
If not, how do you keep track of time?  I wear an insulin pump, 24/7.  It has the time on it.  This is when I stopped wearing a watch.  Now a wear a medical id that says I am a diabetic where my watch used to be.
If it was possible would you want to know how many days you had left to live? No I would just worry constantly and try to figure out a way to live longer.  I do not like to ponder these types of things.
