Hi there! I have a little tea box here for you today. These little boxes are perfect to hold one or two tea bags. I made a little template for it and you can find that here on an older post. I made my box out of Kraft cardstock. I cut it out and scored it but did not put it together. First I determined where the front of the box would be and stamped the large circle from Borders and Corners Circles (PTI). Then I masked the circle and went to town with Polka Dot basics. Next I die cut and stamped a tea pot on cream. I added a cream sentiment, a snip of chiffon ribbon, a button and a twine bow. A little satin ribbon makes the top pretty. I put the box together with scortape. All supplies PTI except the ink which is colorbox lime pastel.

Simple Tea Card
Currently I am sitting here trying to force myself to go get on my gym clothes. Spin class at 8:15 with the dreaded Michele. Need. To. Go. I just need to say this.... why are all those skinny girls at the gym? You know the ones... the ones who are very clearly skinny by nature. They could probably eat donuts all day long and not gain an ounce. And there they are running or biking or swimming! If it were me, if I weren't cursed with the genetics I am, I would not set one foot in that gym. LOL!

Time for Tea Box
Thanks so much to everyone who left me a comment on my grateful post. I loved reading them. Sometimes I just feel the need to put that stuff out there, your responses made it so worth while. Blogging is something I started doing without ever really having a good reason... I think initially I just wanted to comment on other blogs. Now I have this great place where I can be a big nerd and show off my creations to people who "get" the whole making stuff out of paper. And also a place where great conversations can happen. So thanks again for taking the time to comment... it really did make my day. Have an excellent week... I have a bunch more pictures saved up so hopefully I will be back with another post tomorrow.

Sip and Relax
Over the weekend I finally got a chance to break out my new PTI sets and play a little. I am making some cards for a friend of mine (Hi AJ! This ones headed to your place soon!) She likes matching envelopes so I made envelopes to go with each of the cards. Such a simple thing to do but for some reason I never think of it. I just love this little teapot. Its from PTI's Tea for Two. The patterned paper was made from PTI's Dots and Spots (something like that). I used Aqua mist and spring moss ink. I am very happy with this one. Hope you all are having a fabulous Monday. In just a few I am off to take the kids to see the new Hannah Montana movie, hope its good enough that I dont fall asleep.
