Hello friends! Sorry for the lack of updates lately. The end of the school year is always so busy! I haven't touched cardstock in at least 3 or 4 days. But I do have for you a card I made last week.
I love this diamond background from Waltzingmouse stamps. The best part about it is that it easily spans the card base! I inked it a little unevenly to get a distressed look. I added a piece of vellum and used a sentiment from PTI. The cupcake is also from PTI (Baby Button Bits). It is paper pieced with doodlebug papers. The star borders were cut with the PTI star border die from Doodlebug and PTI papers. Thanks for stopping in!

PTI Blog Hop- Green, White and Black
Hi Friends! Its PTI blog hop day! You can find all the details here on Nichole's blog. This time it was a color/photo challenge featuring green, black and white. I really like this color scheme. Here is what I came up with:
I used New Leaf cardstock as the base. I stamped the argyle pattern in New Leaf and black using PTI's A Little Argyle. I added a strip of black and white polka dot (from the black and white pattern paper pack) cut with the medium scallop die. Next comes a length of New Leaf twill ribbon. I used a fillable frame on top and then followed with a sentiment from Waltzingmouse stamps. The flower buttons are from Doodlebug. Random bling from my stash.

Happy Birthday Waltzingmouse Stamps!
Can you believe Waltzingmouse Stamps is turning three this month? It seems like just yesterday Claire was releasing her very first stamps. She has gotten better and better with each release. So many gorgeous and fun designs. The card above features Half Pint Heroines. Its my new favorite. The sentiments are the best ever and different from any others I have seen. The images are interchangeable with the Half Pint Heroes set as well.
This card features the large hot air balloon with the little girl head. I added the body with a little bit of black pen. The clouds and the bird are also included in the set.
If you have never ordered from WMS you might be surprised to learn that Claire's sets are very competitively priced even with the exchange rate. Her website shows the prices in multiple currencies as well. There is also free shipping for all if you go over 50 pounds. And fast. This particular set came to me in Northern California from Ireland in a little over a week. I was shocked by the speed. You can't go wrong with WMS. (And no, I am not on the payroll. I am just a very happy customer!)

Make It Monday- Rolled Flowers
Well hello again! I finished all my chores, I ran, and I have been to work (on my own dime) and I made a card! Wow productive morning for once. This is for PTI's Make It Monday. Today's challenge was making rolled felt flowers using their background dies. I used one of the two rolls of felt I own- felt freaks me out. I do not like the way it feels at all. I ran it through my cuttlebug using the circle border die and the large scallop die. The inner part of the flower is made with half of the circle border. The outer part is the large scallop. I used score tape to hold it all together. Underneath are some lovely ribbon leaves atop a ribbon border. The back ground used triangle tranquility. Rustic cream base with kraft ink.

One Layer Thank You
Hello friends! How have you all been? Did all you moms have a good Mother's Day yesterday? My kids surprised me with breakfast in bed at 6am! Yep, 6 am! It was a wee bit early but very tasty! Well enough with the chit chat, on with the card! Its a true one layer, one piece of paper! Unless you count that tiny yellow heart- that is technically a 2nd layer. This is made with Tag Its 3 and Trendy Tree Tops. Summer Sunrise, Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf, and Kraft Inks. The base is Vintage Cream.

WMS Lil Dude
Good Morning and Happy Mother's day to all the moms out there! Today I have an all Waltzingmouse card for you. It features stamps from half pint heroes. I have had this set since it came out (and I recently ordered the heroines!) and I love it! I started with a white piece of cardstock. I stamped on the car, the little puff of smoke, the sun, and the boy's head. Next I went to work with my black marker and added the road, the clouds, the grass, and a neck on the boy. Then I came back with the copics and went to work coloring. Finally I added the sentiment. I then selected some patterned papers and added the vroom... to the base. All there is to it! Thanks for coming by!

Star Tree
Good Morning Friends! I have another tree for you today- shocking I know. I am not sure how much I like this card. Sometimes I look at it and I think how cool and other times I am like, hmmmmm. Anyhow the patterned paper is from Echo Park. The star borders and little stars are from PTI's border die. The sentiment is from star prints. I totally feel like stamping today but instead I have to go to work and then sit through a long and boring PTO meeting. Joy. Maybe this weekend.

Teeny Trees with Hand Drawn Frames
Good Morning friends! I have a little set of cards I made the other day with Teeny Trees.
They all have the same layout and then I just switched up the colors and the sentiments. I am using a kraft base. The trees are stamped in kraft ink, the tops in new leaf. The little hearts were die cut from echo park paper. I hand drew the frames with white gel pen and a T-square. I hand wrote the sentiments.
This one is my favorite. I love the polka dot paper. One of the few I have used all up!
This is my least favorite because I wasn't paying attention and capitalized the sentiment. grrr! Thanks for stopping in! I hope you have a great day!

Trendy Trees and Patterned Paper
Hi there friends! Are you hoarding a large quantity of patterned paper? Would you like to use it up so you can buy some more (or make room for the paper you already bought)? Yes? Well then this is the card for you! I used up several sheets on one card, Yay! Now I can plan my next purchase, lol!
This paper is all from Echo Park although it is from two different pads. The green on the trees is embossed cardstock. The tree trunks are kraft cardstock, rubbed with ink to darken them a bit. It felt very satisfying to cut up all that patterned paper and I threw the scraps out because really people, why am I hoarding a 2x2 square when I have enough patterned paper to wall paper my entire house? Have a great Tuesday!
