Peach Wedding Day

Hi all! I have finally finished with my main summer obligation- teaching science to other elementary school teachers. It was a wonderful week but wow, I did nothing else. No crafting, cooking, cleaning, reading...nothing. It ended Saturday and I made this card shortly after. I used PTI's YOF Rose for both flower and sentiment. The background uses PTI tin type. I used Melon berry paper and ink. The leaves are ripe avocado, flower is stamped in palette noir. The flower is colored with my trusty copics. Its mounted on some PTI vellum. Thanks for stopping by! I am hoping to update regularly this week.

In Bloom Thank You

I have had this card for so long and every time I get out the camera I forget to take a picture. I made this with a Kraft base and a Kraft envie. I cut the flowers with my inbloom dies and stamped them my in bloom 2 stamps. I added some hawaiian shores buttons. The base of the card is stamped with leaves from Turning a new Leaf. I think the thank you is from the new Inside Out Thank you set. If you want to see more I have a new card up over at Waltzingmouse Makers... a boy card too! Click here
Finally, its Father's Day here and I want to wish all you Dads out there a Happy Father's Day! I am lucky, I have a wonderful father and an awesome husband who is a great father to our kids.

Rose

Hi! I finally got in a little craft time today. I was so excited my PTI order came yesterday. I got this new set, YOF Rose. I also got the new add on tea set and tea set dies. I used a hibiscus base for my card. All the stamps are from YOF Rose except the sentiment, that is from YOF Lily. I stamped the base with the rose and leaf in Fresh Snow Ink. I stamped them again on Stampers White with palette black noir and then colored with my copics. I cut them out and adhered them with dimensionals. Finally I stamped the sentiment in black noir.

Sweet Cherry Gift Set

Hi! It has been to long since I posted something crafty. I have been working on teacher gifts and the like. My last day of work is Friday and then its summertime! This gift set I made for my principal. Even though she can make me crazy sometimes, she is actually a wonderful person. Very caring, hard working, and dedicated. So I always try to make her a little something at the end of the year.
This is a set of 4 cards with matching lined envelopes. It probably took me the better part of two hours to put it all together. I already had the cupcakes made and pieced. I had been making them for a card candy swap I joined. There are two designs of cards, this is the first one. The base is made of raspberry fizz cardstock (PTI). The cherry pp is from Doodlebug. I got it in the spring, so you may be able to still find it. The dot paper is from PTI (bitty dots). The rickrack is cut with my PTI ric rack die from stampers white. I used nesties label one to cut out the red and pp labels. The sentiment is from fillable frames 4 and stamped in fresh snow.
Here is the second design. Pretty much the same product and layout. The cherries are from Everyday button bits and the sentiment from Inside and Out:thank you (PTI)
A close up of the pieced cupcake. I used PTI's baby button bits for the cupcake... its like my favorite stamp ever! LOL. I stamped it on kraft and then again on green for the leaves. On cherry pp for the frosting and on raspberry fizz for the scallops. I added a pure poppy button on top and added a little shading with my copic markers.
This is the front of the envie. Its stamped with Fillable Frame #4 and the cherries from Everyday button bits. The circles are from Polka Dot Basics one.
Here is a shot showing the envie liners. Aren't they divine? So easy with PTI's new envie liner die! OMG I LOVE IT!
All four cards in my crafting mess! LOL
Finally the packaging. I was tired so I went simple. Thats a recycled PTI stamp box. I tore off the belly band and added my own bitty dot band. I scalloped punched some pp and then added a cute little sentiment from PTI's handmade set. I bought that set on a whim last month and I LOVE it. Anyway, thanks for coming by! Hopefully with summer arriving the posting will be more regular. I do appreciate your comments! Thanks so much!

My Little Orangutang

No crafty stuff today... today I have for you my cute little guy. He just finished his first grade play, A Rumpus in the Rainforest. It was so cute! He was all hot and sweaty in that costume, poor thing! Thanks for coming by and peeking at my cute little guy!

Aloha!

Hi there! Only 4 more work days until I am off for the summer! Can I just say that I am excited! Hopefully I will be back to more regular posting and crafting.... but in the meantime I have a cool fun boy card that I made today. All stamps are from Waltzingmouse Free Spirit set. I used PTI Simply Chartreuse Cardstock and Hawaiian Shores cardstock. The ink is colorbox lime pastel and versamagic turquoise gem. I think the rest is kind of self explanatory. The whole card is on a SC base but I cropped the picture quite close so it might be hard to tell. Thanks for coming by.

Inspired by...

I have a CASEd card today, which is something I don't often do. Not because I don't admire the work of others but simply because its harder for me to create when I am starting with a bunch of parameters. Its the same reason I have a hard time with sketches and challenges. However today I saw this card by Nichole Heady and I just had to make something similar. Here's a close up of the tag. I used a nestie from my classic ovals to cut the shape. I stamped it with the smallest of the flowers from PTI Beautiful Blooms 2 in Lemon Tart. I stamped the middle in orange zest and the sentiment in Simply Chartreuse.
The whole card. The base is a piece of simply Chartreuse cardstock. I ran it through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder. Next I layered on some white that I stamped with the largest flower from Beautiful Blooms 2. I used Lemon Tart, Orange Zest, and Simply Chartreuse. I layered some orange zest twill where the cardstock meets together. I love the color of the simply chartreuse but I wish the ink worked better. I had to reink it again. Very frustrating.

Lily of the Valley

Wow, two in a row! I planned on crafting all day today but instead fell victim to an intense headache. UGH. Anyway this is one I made the other day. Stamps are from PTI's Year of the Flowers- Lily of the Valley. I used my copics to color it pretty then I cut it out and adhered it to the base. Sorry to post and run but the list of things to do is endless. Catch ya on the flip side!

Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #1

Hi! I am so sorry for my lack of posts lately! Apparently June is a busy time here! I haven't had time to do anything lately! But today I made time for this little card. Its 4x4 square. It took me forever! LOL, way longer than any tiny card should. Its for the all new WM sketch challenge. Hop over and take a look! I used my new Afternoon Tea set along with Vintage Circles. The patterned paper is from Pebbles and Co. The button is from PTI, as well as the white card stock. The ink is Memento Tuxedo black (I finally abandoned my Palette noir in favor of Memento). I used my nesties to cut out the circle. The teacups are cut by hand and the saucers are hand drawn with black pen. Thanks for stopping in!
