Papertrey Ink- Make It Monday Challenge

Hello friends!  Well now that I can finally hobble around in my boot, I am getting some crafting done! I decided to try out PTI's Make It Monday this week.  It was hosted by Ashley Newell and it featured glittered buttons.  You can see all the details here.

I used Everyday Button Bits to make the two birds.  My purple button was a bit on the small side so I elongated the tail and the beak.  The flowers and grass are drawn in with a copic multiliner.  All the coloring is done with copics.  The patterned paper is from Echo Park.

Happy Sunday to you!

Happy Copic Certification Class Day to me! Can you tell I am just a wee bit excited? Hoping to improve my coloring skills today. I have a couple of pics for you today. The first is another hot air balloon card. I used a spring moss base, die cut with the PTI card edger die. I added some vellum, punched with a fiskars punch. On top of that is a label one die, sponged with spring rain ink and stamped with Everyday Button bits. A little pink polka dot ribbon finishes things off.
This next picture is badly lit, sorry its a cell phone picture. I made these cute little birdie cupcakes for our school's bake sale. I got the idea from Martha Stewart. Hers were cuter. Just thought I would share.

Soaring By to Say Hi!

Hey there! Happy weekend to you! I wanted to pop in and update with a new card today because I have been slacking! LOL! I got this new paper from Echo Park at the LSS the other day. As soon as I saw those clouds I just knew they were destined for this stamp! This is from PTI's Everyday Button Bits. All pp is by Echo Park. Buttons, ribbon, and cardstock from PTI.

New Buttons

On Saturday I decided I *needed* some new copic markers. So I made a little list and headed off to my LSS. Would you believe they did not have a single color that I wanted??? So I had to console myself by wandering the shop looking for something else to calm the crafting addict within. I found these buttons! Made by Doodlebug in precious little flower and leaf shapes. Not at all cheap, probably overpriced- but I had fallen in love at first site and therefore had to purchase them. I came straight home and whipped up this lovely little card.
Card Deets:
Stamps: PTI button bits
Paper: Ripe Avocado (PTI) white (PTI) patterned (Echo Park)
Buttons: Doodlebug
Ribbon: Plum Pudding (PTI)

Sweet Cherry Gift Set

Hi! It has been to long since I posted something crafty. I have been working on teacher gifts and the like. My last day of work is Friday and then its summertime! This gift set I made for my principal. Even though she can make me crazy sometimes, she is actually a wonderful person. Very caring, hard working, and dedicated. So I always try to make her a little something at the end of the year.
This is a set of 4 cards with matching lined envelopes. It probably took me the better part of two hours to put it all together. I already had the cupcakes made and pieced. I had been making them for a card candy swap I joined. There are two designs of cards, this is the first one. The base is made of raspberry fizz cardstock (PTI). The cherry pp is from Doodlebug. I got it in the spring, so you may be able to still find it. The dot paper is from PTI (bitty dots). The rickrack is cut with my PTI ric rack die from stampers white. I used nesties label one to cut out the red and pp labels. The sentiment is from fillable frames 4 and stamped in fresh snow.
Here is the second design. Pretty much the same product and layout. The cherries are from Everyday button bits and the sentiment from Inside and Out:thank you (PTI)
A close up of the pieced cupcake. I used PTI's baby button bits for the cupcake... its like my favorite stamp ever! LOL. I stamped it on kraft and then again on green for the leaves. On cherry pp for the frosting and on raspberry fizz for the scallops. I added a pure poppy button on top and added a little shading with my copic markers.
This is the front of the envie. Its stamped with Fillable Frame #4 and the cherries from Everyday button bits. The circles are from Polka Dot Basics one.
Here is a shot showing the envie liners. Aren't they divine? So easy with PTI's new envie liner die! OMG I LOVE IT!
All four cards in my crafting mess! LOL
Finally the packaging. I was tired so I went simple. Thats a recycled PTI stamp box. I tore off the belly band and added my own bitty dot band. I scalloped punched some pp and then added a cute little sentiment from PTI's handmade set. I bought that set on a whim last month and I LOVE it. Anyway, thanks for coming by! Hopefully with summer arriving the posting will be more regular. I do appreciate your comments! Thanks so much!

More Rick Rack

How do you spell Rick Rack anyway? is it just C or is it CK? Is it a compound word? Hmmmm... well in any case I love the rickrack die from PTI. So many fun things you can do with it. Todays card is made with Hawaiian shores cardstock. I stamped it in versamark with PTI's Dot Spot. Next I added a layer of Sweet Blush. I stamped the two birdies from PTI's Everyday button bits. I filled them in with lovely Hawaiian shores buttons. I added another little dot spot and a sentiment in HS ink. A little button sets it off. Next some rickrack in Hibiscus Burst and Hawaiian Shores. Sorry for the lighting on the picture, its been so gray and cloudy here, hard to get a good pic.
