First off it must be said that this is not an original idea, I stole it (CASed it) from the very talented Anya. Here is the link to her card. As soon as I saw hers I knew that I needed to get out Wise Owl and duplicate her idea. Its genius!
Card Deets:
1. Make the base from PTI kraft. Use part of the plaid stamp from Waltzingmouse Off beat backgrounds for the tree detail. Ink up the whole thing with PTI tea ink duo.
2. Cut a hole in the base with your favorite nestie. Cut a slightly larger mat out of PTI In Bloom paper and adhere it inside.
3. Stamp wise owl on PTI white and color with copics. Paper piece belly. Add a twill branch for him to sit on.
4. Stamp on sentiment in dark chocolate. All done!

Today I have for you a couple of cute boxes I made using PTI's Baby Button Bits. The sentiments are from Everyday button bits. I used doodlebug brads and patterned paper. The cardstock is from PTI, as well as the ink and ribbon. Thanks for coming by!

Up To My Eyeballs...
in commitments! UGH! So thats where I have been. My husband's sweet grandma passed away last week and we had the funeral to go to. It was a 8 hour car ride away. So that was Thursday and Friday. Wednesday I worked late to get everything finished before we left on Thursday. Today I am off for a professional development. I am teaching science content to a wonderful group of K-2 teachers. Its an all day event and a 2 hour drive. Tomorrow I hope and pray I get some time to grocery shop, do laundry, clean up, and change sheets. I have no idea when I will be able to sit back and craft again. YIKES. I do have a WM post tomorrow on the Waltzingmouse Makers blog. Come say hi!

Flowery Thanks
Here's what I have for you today! I made a few other things this weekend but then didn't get any pictures taken. This is made with some stone cardstock from PTI. I stamped on the plaid background with my all time favorite stamp from Waltzingmouse, Off Beat Backgrounds. Next I stamped some flowers from PTI Beautiful Blooms 2 in enchanted evening on PTI Linen Vellum. Then I cut them out... funny thing is I own the dies and forgot to use them, sheesh! I adhered the flowers to some Hawaiian shores cardstock and then adhered the squares to a bigger piece of enchanted evening. Finished the whole thing off with some buttons and a bow. The sentiment is from Mixed messages. Thanks for stopping in!

Sweet Box
No stamping here! Can you believe it? I saw this cute little box on someone else's blog and for the life of me cant find it again. I will look some more today after work and try to hook you up with the original. Its really cute, made out of one sheet of cardstock. I used some old three bugs in a rug patterned papers and die cuts. The cardstock is PTI scarlet jewel. The brad is from Making Memories and the bow is from American Crafts. I used a BG magnet to keep it closed.

More Rick Rack
How do you spell Rick Rack anyway? is it just C or is it CK? Is it a compound word? Hmmmm... well in any case I love the rickrack die from PTI. So many fun things you can do with it. Todays card is made with Hawaiian shores cardstock. I stamped it in versamark with PTI's Dot Spot. Next I added a layer of Sweet Blush. I stamped the two birdies from PTI's Everyday button bits. I filled them in with lovely Hawaiian shores buttons. I added another little dot spot and a sentiment in HS ink. A little button sets it off. Next some rickrack in Hibiscus Burst and Hawaiian Shores. Sorry for the lighting on the picture, its been so gray and cloudy here, hard to get a good pic.

Not My Normal Style
Hey there! I have something a little different today. I went a little crazy with the distress ink. LOL! Not my usual style, but I kinda like it. I started with some Orange Zest cardstock. I inked up some Technique Tuesday faux stitching stamps and made the border (its crooked... I should have penciled it in first.) Then I made the yellow mat, stamped on the sentiment in dark chocolate. Then I inked both like crazy with distress ink in brown corduroy. Next I got a scrap of cream and stamped on the birdhouses. I colored them with my copics and then stamped on the bird in hawaiian shores. Finally I used dark chocolate and chai ink all over it. I glued everything down and added some orange zest buttons. Thats it for today!

Happy Birthday Flower
Hi there! Its 6:45 am and I need to pack lunches and head to work, so this will be quick. Today's card is a summer sunrise base with a lemon tart mat. Both have been rubbed with Chai ink. Next is a kraft panel with Bitty Box (poppy) rick rack. I tied on poppy stitched ribbon. I stamped the sentiment (fillable frame 1) with pure poppy. The summer sunrise flower is from Beautiful Bloomss 2 and cut out with the coordinating die. Pure poppy button in the middle. Thanks for coming by!

I Love a Bargain
Hi there! I love to bargain shop. One of my favorite haunts is BigLots. I love it because you never know what you are going to find. Somedays there is nothing but other times you hit the jackpot! On one of my recent visits I found these great little clear flowers from Making Memories. They are part of the Garden Party collection. They are self adhesive and I scored 56 of them for a dollar! Yes, a buck. Regular price $3.99... so there a few seasons old, I don't care- they're awesome! Anyhow on to the rest of the card. I started with PTI plum pudding cardstock. I stamped it with versamark using Waltzingmouse stamps Off Beat Backgrounds; polka dot stamp. Next I cut a spring moss mat from a scrap. I stamped it with a sentiment, ground, and flower stems from Everyday Button Bits (PTI). I added my clear flowers, dew drops, and plum pudding buttons. Then I added some plum pudding swiss dot ribbon. I have a couple more cards following this same theme that I will put up later this week. Thanks for stopping in!

Hello Chickadee and Happy Birthday Mom!
Its my mom's birthday today so I just have to do a little shout out, "Happy Birthday Mom! I love you!" Ok...on to the card. I got a lot of crafting done this past week so hopefully the blog won't be bare. Today's card is on Melonberry paper. I used the polka dot stamp from Waltzingmouse stamps. I stamped in watermark ink. The birds are from PTI's Everyday Button Bits. They are stamped in palette noir. White squigglies were cut with my rickrack die. I love that die! The same die was used to trim the Hawaiian shores cardstock. Well thats all for me, I am back to work today... just 2.5 months until summer break- this year has flown by!

Three Challenges in One!
I have continued to fall behind in my attempt to get all my PTI princess challenges done; mostly because I am just not very good at challenges. Anyway today I am trying to do challenge #4 (scoring- read about it here), challenge #5 CASEing (read about it here), challenge #6 all neutrals- no color (read about it here). Here's what I came up with. I am not completely happy with it, but it will do.
This cute card was made by Diane. I am CASEing her. She makes beautiful cards, be sure you check out her blog. I decided to really focus on the scoring. I love the way she set off her focal point by those scored lines. In my card below you can see I scored around my focal point as well. I wish I had done a double score like hers though. The scoring also satisfied challege 4...so yay! Finally, Challenge 6; using only neutrals. Boy this one was tough for me! I love color! I went with basic black and white. The base is made with PTI true black. I stamped it with Waltzingmouse Stamps polka dot stamp from Off Beat Backgrounds. I used watermark ink. I scored out the box for my focal point and then outlined my score with stickles, black stickles. (Yes, I own nearly every color). I stamped the sentiment in white and set it off with two black rhinestones. The big flower is made by MakingMemories. Its from their Garden Party Line. I got a whole bunch of them at BigLots for a buck awhile back. I love a good deal. They are self adhesive too which is cool. I added a black rhinestone to the middle. Photographing this card was a nightmare, I am not a photographer!! Anyway it is what it is. I have some better eyecandy coming tomorrow. Until then, thanks for stopping in!

Beautiful Blooms Card Set
Hi! Happy Saturday to you! I have a long post today, tons of pictures! I hope you make it to the bottom, LOL! This is a card set I put together for my mom. My mom loves my cards, thats the best thing about Moms- they always love what you do. Anyway my mom has birthday coming up really quick so I have been working on this little set for her. I was first inspired by this card by Debbie Olson. I really loved how she layered the stamps from Beautiful Blooms 2 by Papertrey Ink. I did the blue one first, sort of following Debbie's color scheme but leaving out the green. I liked it so much I thought a rainbow of colors would be awesome. It took awhile to do, especially with all the stamp cleaning in between!
Here is the orange schemed card. I used PTI's orange zest, summer sunrise, and lemon tart. The floral panel is mounted on an orange zest base. I added some coordinating grosgrain. The big flower embellie is cut with the PTI dies and held together with foam tape. I added a lemon tart button and some PTI cream twine. I outlined the edge with coordinating copic marker.
The Pink version is exactly the same except I used raspberry fizz, hibiscus burst, and sweet blush. The color looks a little off on my monitor... its not purpleish.
The purple version uses scarlet jewel, plum pudding, and Dew Drops pearlescent purple. Scarlet jewel ribbon and plum pudding button.
The blue version that started it all uses Spring Rain, aqua mist, and Hawaiian shores. Hawaiian shores ribbon and aqua mist button.
I packaged it up in this timeless template designed by Lauren Meader for PTI. I think its called keeping tabs. It uses spring rain, spring moss, Hawaiian shores, and aqua mist.
And here they are all together with their coordinating envelopes. I used the same color scheme on the envies. I also used the Fillable Frame 1 to stamp the place to put the address. The envies are my favorite part I think. Did you make it to the bottom! Yay, for getting all the way here. As always thanks for stopping by!

Daffodil Thank You
Hi there! Today I have a little (4x4) Thank you card for you. I started by cropping a piece of Kraft to make a 4x4 card. I stamped the lower half with Tin Types in Dark Chocolate ink. I stamped the daffodil in chocolate on white. I colored it with my copics and then cut it out. I used a sentiment from Delightful Dahlias. I finished it off by rubbing all the edges with my Chai tea ink. All supplies from Papertrey Ink.

Beautiful Blooms Cascade
Hi there! I have been playing with my new set, PTI Beautiful Blooms 2. So many fun flowers! I would definitely recommend this one. I started this card by combining two stamps from PTI Tin Type. I really like how that came out, a very interesting background. Its stamped in Dark Chocolate on Kraft. Next I cut a piece of PTI Bitty Boxes patterened paper with my ricrac die. I used both pieces here. I cut a bunch of flowers out of cream cardstock with my Beautiful Blooms Dies and then inked them up with the coordinating stamps. I used Summer Sunrise, Pure Poppy, and Orange Zest inks. I layered on some coordinating buttons and then stuck them all down with glue dots and pop dots. Finally I stamped the sentiment (from Delightful Dahlias) in cream. I am very pleased with this one, although its going to have to be mailed in bubble mailer.
