Card and a Confession

Lets do the card first- less embarrassing!   I love this card.  In fact I loved it so much I made three more, almost identical with different sentiments.  I am really pleased with this set... and to think it was almost the one I axed.   Deets on the card:  All PTI ingredients with the exception of Copic markers, floss, and buttons.   CS is spring moss, ocean tides, and rustic cream.  Ink: dark chocolate, spring moss, and ripe avocado.  Ripe avocado twill.  Some buttons pti and some are from MM.  Floss is DMC.  Ok now its confession time...

Have you ever been completely embarrassed by the sheer number of crafting stuff you own?  Today I cleaned the pit that used to be my front room.  Its now home to my craft table and multitude of craft stuff.  When I craft I tend to get a bit crazy, messy, and out of control.  And I will admit I do not always clean up after myself right away.  Well today I decided I had to clean up because otherwise I would be crafting on the floor, I had not even six inches of desk space.   I had found this little shelf out in the garage, a cast away from quite some time ago.  I thought it might be good to hold my stickles.... I thought they would take up one shelf!  HAHAHA.... as you can see from the picture they take up two full shelves and some of them are double stacked.  Yes folks, I own 27 bottles of stickles.  Who on God's green earth needs that  many stickles???  Apparently I do.  Lets say I paid $2 a bottle for those little guys.  Thats $54 in glitter glue!  I feel like a moron.  (But I do love the way they look all lined up there!)  You would not believe the number of prima flowers I own... I am not even ready to confess that sin... or the quantity of patterned paper (that I never use but keep right on buying!)  And we definitely aren't disclosing number of ink pads, stamp sets, and acrylic blocks I have managed to amass in a short 18  months.   Ok confession time is over.  I sure hope I am not alone in this sickness!  Thanks for stopping by and peeking into my madness today.

Very cute card. Great color combo too. And No I've never been embarassed by how much stuff I own. In fact, I have a whole room with furniture dedicated to how "NOT" embarassed I am. :) Yes, I have the sickness too.

Ok, I'll be totally embarrassed right now with you. It is crazy... where is the button collection and the ribbon, and all the tools???

All I have to say though is that I KNOW that there are people with more stuff than us.

I left my other "collections" out of the picture- I can only take so much embarrassment at once! Oh and I know there are people with more, when I find pictures of more I show my husband and try to convince him of how frugal I am.

Oh I love your little shelf, doesn't it just make your heart sing to see all those colors lined up? Its a little rainbow right there in your house. Patterned paper . . . I told myself I had to stop buying it when I could no longer close the drawer where I kept it . . . I found a nearby shelf tohandle the overflow. :) Whew, though I am so relieved that is your confession, addicted to crafting stuff. Here I thought, when I saw the title, that I could collect a reward or make a citizen's arrest for some heinous crime . . .

Lol - Michele - you're in good company - I would not like to tell you how much I have spent on spellbinders dies alone this year, never mind pti stamp sets!! AAAAaaaaarrrrggghhh!!! let's face it - there are worse things you could be spending money on. At least that's what I keep telling myself!!

Hi Michele, your card is adorable! Love the colors.

You should know that you are definitely not alone in your addictions! I shudder to think of adding up my quantities of stuff or the amount of money spent on them...the way I see it, it's a far cheaper hobby than designer purses or clothes, right?

How could you be expected to create such great cards if you didn't own all those 'necessary' crafting supplies? That's my rationale!

Heehee, its okay - I should be confessing as well. Haha! :) Love all the pretty cards though you create and where would you be without those supplies right? ;-)

Love this card and the colors!

Love your card! Oh yes, I am right there with you with being overwhelmed and a bit guilty with all the "stuff" we collect! It is so much fun though ...

I am a bit behind on reading blogs! but I totally understand your situation! When I found some sources of inexpensive fine glitter, I went a little nuts. And I bought myself Sizzix big kick while I was Christmas shopping. (I usually do not shop for myself, but it was $37 after all the discounts!) So after the holidays I went crazy with any gift cards and money I had, and those great 40% or 50% off coupons. Now I have what seems like 12 million texture plates, and a good number of dies!!
