Queen Bee

Hello friends!  Happy July 1st!  Wow, this summer is flying by!  I have a few more days until my plans really pick up the pace- so for now I will enjoy the leisurely summer I have going on so far.  Today's card was made specifically for a friend of mine.  She was celebrating her 40th birthday yesterday.  I was reading a book and then suddenly out of nowhere this card idea popped into my head.  I threw the book down and fairly ran to the craft table.  It came together really fast.  I started with the PTI hexagon coverplate.  I cut the coverplate out of dark chocolate paper.  I laid it on my craft and then stamped the little interior stitching in craft ink.  Next I got a piece of summer sunrise and stamped the big bee from honeybees.  I hand cut the bee and added crystal stickles.  I got a piece of vellum and stamped on Happy Birthday (Birthday Basics) and Queenbee and the crown from HoneyBees.  Thats all there was too it!  Thanks for stopping in today!

All White Ink

P1060443
Hi blog friends! I made this card for a challenge. Then I realized that I read the challenge incorrectly and it didn't even qualify! Story of my life, I tell ya. I do like the way it came out. I am using a few PTI sets. The flowers and stems are from Honey Bees. (They are the reason I can not sell that set). The frame is from Fillable Frames and the sentiment is from one of the Floral Fusions. Everything is stamped in Fresh Snow ink. Then I went back and added lots of little bling centers. Thats it! Simple, easy, and cute too. Bling is also small, so it will mail just fine. Thanks for stopping in today!

Inspired by... (Part 2)

If you read yesterday's post you know that I fell in love with a card by Nichole Heady that overlapped a tree image with a fillable frame. You can see the card on this post. Well I took that same idea and utilized it with completely different stamps. I liked it so much I ended up making a set of cards.
I used the flowers from the Honey Bees set. I was inspired to get it out after talking about unloved sets on the message board. I have always loved these flowers but for some reason never get them out. I also used fillable frames and their sentiments. A lot of different inks, most of them are versamagic chalk and the green one is colorbox lime pastel.
I lined and stamped up the envies too. I used doodlebug and the envie liner die from papertrey ink.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
