Papertrey Princess Challenge
Hello! Here I am a day late and a dollar short as usual! I think all the other princesses have completed this challenge and moved on! LOL! You can find all the details here on Anya's blog. She gave us this beautiful inspiration picture and let us take it from there.
I decided to pull out my new Baby Button Bits. Truth be told, I really don't even like making baby cards all that much, but this set was so adorable it sucked me right in. I love this cupcake. Its adorable and perfect for paper piecing. I have made many, many cupcakes today so I am sure you will be seeing quite a few in the near future. Anyway back to the card, here are the deets:
Stamps: Baby Button Bits
CS: Kraft
PP: PTI pastels and Memory Box sweet baby
Extras: PTI button and ribbon in spring rain, dark chocolate ink.

Through the Trees
I had to have this stamp set, its so pretty! Of course now I havent had any time to use it! I made this on Thursday night, it was late, which is why the picture is not the best. I admire those of you who can photograph late at night and make it look good. I used Terracotta tile as the base. I stamped on Kraft with Versamark and embossed ep white (I think thats what it is called...) The birds were stamped on terracotta and cut out (not easy people!). A little ribbon pulls it together! Have a fab weekend!

Days Go By...
And the blog remains unupdated! So sorry! The only excuse I have is that I have been busy... with everything except for crafting. Job has been taking up a lot of time. Kids activities have too. Meetings, practices, etc. the list is endless. But today I have a cute little Valentine box you might like. It uses up those left over PTI boxes as well.
This is not an original idea, I got it from watching Stamp TV. It was taught by GinaK. If you google Stamp TV clear boxes it is one of the first hits. The boxes that Gina K uses are smaller than the PTI stamp boxes that I used so you can not use her dimensions if you are using PTI boxes. To make the lid and the bottom I used two pieces of hibiscus cardstock that were 8.5 x 4.5 inches. On the short side I scored in at 1 1/8 on each side. On the long side I scored in at just a hair under 1 1/4 inches. I say a hair under because you need the lid especially to be a little loose. Decorate before folding... its so much easier! Tie it all together with some pretty ribbon and add an embellie. All done! BTW, this holds a ton of candy! The first box is filled with hershey kisses (a full bag), the second is filled with Dove hearts (another full bag). So if you want to be a little cheaper maybe add some pretty shredded paper in the bottom.

It's Blog Hop Time
Its time for the Papertrey ink Blog Hop. You can see all the details here. Here is the challenge:
Here is the inside of the card. I forgot to take a picture of the envelope... I will try to do that tommorrow. Below I have the basket for you too. I finished off the insides of the basket too, I think it looks so cute.
This month's challenge is to create a card that is the total package. Embellish the inside and the outside... envelopes too. You can read the full challenge at the PTI site. The link is above.
I actually started by making a Valentine basket... I didnt read the fine print that said make a card! LOL! Luckily I made a card too, so I will start with that.

Inside Out
Today's card was inspired by a post on the Moxie Fab blog a few days ago. It was about making the inside of the card as important as the outside of the card. While I was reading it I sketched out this card. Later that day I went to my craft table and tried my hand at making it. Its close to what I wanted but I am not totally happy with the cloud area. The letter stamps are from K and Co. I believe. They are really old. The other stamps are from PTI's Tiny treats and Simple Valentine. The pp is from Ek success, everything else is PTI.
Have a great weekend! I am off to Vegas with my Bff!

Another from the White Series
Good morning! Happy rainy Wednesday from California! I have another Valentine for you today... this one was part of the "white series". I am still shocked at how many Vday cards I have made, this is so unlike me! Anyway this one uses PTI's tiny treats set, stamped in hibiscus (my new favorite color). I cut it out with a spellbinder nestie and mounted it on some Simple Valentine pp and some pure poppy cardstock. I punched the cardstock with my new ek success border punch. I wanted my fiskars threading water punch but its lost. I have searched high and low and I can not figure out where it got off too. I love that punch, I might have to bite the bullet and buy a new one. I get a new shipment of stamps from PTI Friday so maybe I will be inspired to make a birthday card or something... give the pink a rest! Thanks for coming by!

What Have We Got Today?
Its another Valentine, surprise, surprise! I guess I have really gotten my money out of these sets! Today's card I dreamed up while washing dishes the other night. As soon as I was done I ran over to my craft table and got started. Its one of those cards that is so much more awesome then the picture shows. I colored all the hearts with my spica markers and they are so sparkly! The photo doesn't really capture that. There has also been no sun here in California for quite a few days so my natural light source has not been the best.
The front of the card is stamped in palette noir ink on PTI white. I used background basics: hearts. The love you is from Simple Valentine. All hearts are colored with spica markers.
The inside uses stamps from simple valentine and heartfelt greetings (? something like that anyway), both from PTI. The inside heart is also colored with spica markers.

Three Hearts
I have another Valentine for you today. I don't know how many I have made but it is so many more than normal! Its so funny, I made the base for this card about 2 weeks before I finished it off. The base was made by stamping the two long stamps from Simple Valentine. Next I punched some hearts from Simple Valentine PP and from white card. I stamped the white card with a stamp from SV. I glittered the PP with crystal stickles. I tied some pure poppy grosgrain along the bottom. Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by.

Doggone Cute
Hi there! I hope your not sick of pink and Valentine's day yet! Its so funny because normally I am so not a Valentine's card maker! Everyone I know will be getting one this year! LOL! Today's card uses both PTI Simple Valentine and Tiny Treats. The border was stamped in fresh snow using SV. The white was also stamped using SV in Hibiscus. Tiny treats was stamped in Hibiscus on white. The little dog was colored with my copics. Hibiscus grosgrain was used for the bow. This card feels very girly to me. I have been working on my blog hop project. At first I thought I would be out of town, taking a girls trip to Vegas this weekend but I will be back in time, yay! I have a couple more Valentines for you this week, as well. Thanks for stopping by!

Tiny Treats and Randomness
Hi there! I just wanted to take a minute and say, Thanks! I have gotten so many nice compliments in the last week. You guys are the best. I swear the comments make my day, as I say on my comment box, yes I am that pathetic. LOL! Seriously I read a lot of blogs and I know it takes a little extra to leave some love, so thank you all and of course I will pay it forward.
Off topic: Do you watch The Bachelor? OMG its my guilty pleasure, its such a stupid show and yet its like a train wreck, I cant look away. I am watching it right now and as I watch I just think to myself are there really this many crazy, insecure, bizarre women out there? Why do they all feel they are in love with this guy after three days? Honestly they would marry someone they met three days ago in a haze of media craziness? And then he is kissing all of them and they all act shocked about it? Haven't they seen the show before? Anyway feel free to discuss in comments if you watch, I would love to hear your thoughts!
Today I have the last of my Tiny Treats- White Series. This one is a little different thanks to the little cut out heart. I backed it with some lovely grosgrain ribbon. I used my background basics, hearts to make the little red outline hearts. I had some scraps of paper left from other cards so I added those and then topped it off with my little happy valentine's day heart. I hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by!

Simple Valentine Love
I stepped away from the Tiny Treats long enough to make this card using Simple Valentine. My favorite part of this set are the long stamps, especially the circle and heart chain. I love it! One the base I used fresh snow and hibiscus ink to build my pattern. The hearts are not a long stamp, the white hearts are one stamp and the open pink heart is another stamp. I punched two hearts out of simple valentine paper and then backed them with pure poppy and hibiscus card. I outlined the card in stickles and added some little buttons in pure poppy and hibiscus. I embossed love you on the front of each heart. Thanks for stopping by!

A Birthday/ Valentine Treat
Hi! I made this cute little pizza box for a friends birthday. Its made from a piece of Hibiscus Cardstock. I added a piece of Simple Valentine pp to the top. Next came some hibiscus grosgrain ribbon and white scalloped circle stamped with Tiny Treats.
On the inside I combined the Tiny Treats cupcake with the solid label from Limitless Labels. You cant really see it but each label says birthday girl. I wrapped them around some yummy Hershey nuggets.
Last we have the little card I made to go with it. Its a 3x3 card. The same scalloped circle stamped with the same tiny treats stamps. A strip of simple valentine paper and a cute little button with a heidi grace gel heart. Simple and fun! Thanks for stopping by!

The Last of the Tiny Treats
They all pretty much have the same layout. I just love how easy it is to put together a card with this set. These cards are just under 4 inches square. I am going to give them out to the staff at school. I need to make about 13 more. Of course now that work is back in full swing its much harder to craft. I have to go to the gym, and then I have a couple of kids to feed and care for so crafting is usually saved for the weekend.
All supplies on both cards are from PTI except for the gel hearts, those are Heidi Grace. I found them at Big Lots quite a while ago. Thanks for stopping by!

Tiny Treats 2
Good morning! It is Monday and I am having a hard time getting back into the routine. Luckily I have Mondays off. Its part of the benefit of being a science teacher... a more flexible schedule. Of course with that comes the downfall of being expendable, hence being laid off each year. In any case no work on Mondays but my kiddos have to be at school so Monday is always like a trial in my efforts to get back on schedule. I pried myself out of bed this morning. I will be heading to the gym after dropping the kids and then I have a list of chores to get done. Most of them should have been done yesterday but I had a lazy Sunday. Ok, on to the cards:Today I have two more tiny treats cards. These are made on PTI pure poppy cardstock. I stamped the backgrounds with Background Basics Hearts. Love that tiny heart. I added some Simple Valentine pp and some hibiscus twill. The little animals and backgrounds are stamped on stampers white and colored with copics. Some buttons and Heidi Grace hearts round out the mix. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Tiny Treats
I thought I would show you the mess on my craft table! See that tiny 4 inch clean section- yeah thats where I work! I cant help it I am a slob. Everytime I clean it up, I turn around and mess it up again. As you can see I have quite a few of these little cards. So fun and easy to make. I have close ups of all of them and will probably put them up through out the week. Of course I go back to work this week so we will see how I do time management wise. This first little guy is so cute! The frog is my favorite image from this set, PTI's Tiny Treats. There are so many cute sentiments and images, its hard to choose just one. The background is Hibiscus Card stamped with PTI's Background Basics- Hearts in Fresh Snow ink. I have a strip of Simple Valentine PP. The frog image is stamped in black while the label image is in Hibiscus. I cut it out with my spellbinder scallops. The little gel heart I got at big lots awhile back, its by Heidi Grace I believe. The frog is colored with my trusty copics. Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine's Day Scrap Challenge
Nichole Heady of Papertrey Ink issued a challege to use your scraps! You can see the challenge here. Now scraps is something I have plenty of... especially V-Day scraps as I have spent the last day and a half making V-Day cards (I will have them up sometime this week). For this challenge I used all Papertrey products.
The border was created using PTIs Simple Valentine stamped with Fresh Snow on Kraft. I made the panel by weaving left over strips of patterned paper from Simple Valentine. I attached it to a scrap cardstock base and glued the whole thing down. Red grosgrain is wrapped around the bottom. The cute little scalloped circle was a left over from some Valentines using Tiny Treats: Valentine. The dino is colored with copics. The sentiment on the bottom of the card is from Simple Valentine.

Another Friends Card
I cant decide if I like this one or the blue one better. What do you think? I did this one first. Same sets as yesterday (Friends til the End and Retro backgrounds) but different colors, different sentiment. Todays colors are summer sunrise and kraft cardstock, orange zest and chocolate ink and loads of copic markers. Thanks for stopping by!
