Almost Finished Castle and blog candy

So here is the nearly finished playhouse. The kids are beyond happy. FunDaddy just needs to put on the finishing touches. What color should we paint it? The boy wants fire engine red with green trim (ummm NO!) The girl wants "rainbow" (I am afraid to even know what that means!). What color do you think we should paint it? (Our house is a yellow color... like wheat maybe?).

BLOG CANDY

I have been meaning to do blog candy when I hit 5000 hits... well Nichole Heady (from Paper Trey Ink) linked me on her blog the other day ( I should mention I screamed, shouted, and danced with glee) and since then I have had like 900 hits... LOL. So I am well passed 5000, which means its BLOG CANDY TIME! Up for grabs is one brad stencil from All my memories, one package of studio G stamps, and one pack of stickers (of which I cannot remember the brand at this time). Leave me a comment, tell me what color you think I should paint the house, and I will use one of my children to randomly draw a name from all my commenters. You have until 12 noon on Sunday, April 6th to leave your comment. I will draw names and post a winner on Monday. I will ship in the USA or Canada. Thanks for playing!

Ooohhh, I get to be the first!!! Hmm... I thought the house was the blog candy...then I read... darn it all... Your kids are lucky and what a talented hubby! I want one too!

As for color - gosh I don't know. I would do something with white trim though. I love white trim -- how about aqua mist and spring moss??

That thing is the coolest!!! I would probably paint it a light green/sagey color with a creamy/white trim. Not a stark white though. Congrats on hitting 5000!

I think a sky blue with white trim would look very nice. Congrats on all your hits.

WOW! Congrats on all of your blog visits! That's great!

Maybe a real nice brick red with white trim. There are so many choices! :)
Good Luck!

Congrats on your hits. That is great. I think since your house is a wheat color, the playhouse should be a very light brownish tone with wheat color trim.

That looks so cool! Hats off to FunDaddy!

I'd do a light periwinkle blue with white trim.

Congrats on having such a popular blog!

We painted our playhouse the same color as our house. Then we added color by planting flowers in pots and placing them on the deck of the playhouse and also in the flower box. If your children really insist on those bright colors...how about letting them paint the inside of the playhouse in "their" colors? That way, it would look coordinated from the street, but the kids would still have their fun colors to look at inside the playhouse. :)Shellie

Very cute house and what a talented FunDaddy! I like the red idea with white trim. However, I would go with maybe a deeper barn/brick red than a fire Engine red.
Enjoy your new house :)

Hmmm...what about letting the kids choose the color? It is their house, right? Of course you could do this within reason...like set aside a few paint chips and let them chose out of those.

Currently, we are painting our house a Sherwin Williams color, Grey Screen which is a faint gray but looks like light blue in the sunlight. White trim and black shutters. It is so cheery and would compliment yellow/wheat very well.

First thing i thought was "paint my door red and call me Elizabeth Arden"..but since there isn't a door, paint the whole thing red!

I think you should paint the exact same as your house. Like a mini of the big house. Just my 2 cents. Thanks It looks like a blast to play in. Cynthia

My granddaughter's playhouse color matches the colors of their home. They even put the same house numbers on the playhouse.
