Ugliest Card Hop

Hi there friends!  Happy April Fool's Day!  Today Suzanne of The Card Yard has put together a little treat for all of us:
I went back a few years to find this jewel... Good God what was I thinking???

Here is the original post:  http://iamderby.blogspot.com/2008/09/hero-arts-meet-pti.html  You can see I am quite proud of my creation.  Nothing to ground the focal point.  Sentiment way too small.  Coloring odd and color choice of the bird is just strange.  Again what was I thinking?  I even water marked that hideous thing!

Is it crazy that I can see where you are going with this card?!

So fun to see how your style has evolved since then. This isn't as bad as you think, though--the coloring on the bird and bow are bot very nice.

First of all, it's great to meet you, Michele!! Secondly, thanks for sharing! I have to say by your current postings today, it's pretty bad. But then again, when I think back to what all our cards were looking like in 2009, it would not have been ugly back then!

I agree with Joyce...
you're coloring is fabulous!!
And seriously...
I own the ugliest card ever...
I just gotta find it!
Compared to it...
this is a Crown Hallmark! :)

Okay the watermark comment made me laugh. But I really don't think this is bad at all, Michele! The wreath is amazing! Okay....maybe the neon birdie has to go (although he is colored and blended spectacularly)!

It's not all that bad you know. Not sure about the birds color, but the rest is pretty good. Thanks for joining the hop today.

Hi Michele! Well, I agree the sentiment is a wee bit small but I could not get my coloring to look that good if I tried for a month! I am laughing at the color choice of the bird, but I LOVE the addition of the white to the wreath. Thanks for joining the hop! :)
