Star Ornament
Yesterday we were having a conversation over at the PTI board about making these star ornaments, so I decided to give it a try. Its basically 12 punched stars that are glued together at the points. Its much easier than it looks but it is fussy work putting it together. I used PTI's star prints, scarlet jewel ink, and vellum paper. I glued it together with 1/4 inch scor tape.

Do You Sense a Theme Here Lately?
I've got more tags today! These feature Waltzingmouse (that lovely polka dot) and Hero Arts (bird and sentiment). They are cut out with my nesties. I went all red for a simple look.

More Tags
Good Morning! A couple more tags for you today! I made these using PTI's 2008 Tag set. The little holly leaf is from a Hero Arts clear set, not quite sure which one. But I love it because the berries are not green. LOL. Tag construction is pretty simple. The striped paper is from doodlebug- last year's Christmas line. Two sided velvet ribbon was a steal at Michaels (several Christmases ago). Thanks for stopping in!

Red Bird Tag
I love this tag! I totally CASED the tree and bird from this card by the talented Susan. It was a super easy tag to make. I started with the single tree from Through the Trees (PTI). I stamped it in Versamark and then embossed it in seafoam white. I added the bird and sentiment (Tiny Treats, PTI) with pure poppy ink. Next came a snippet of PTI white velvet ribbon, a pure poppy button, and some Martha Stewart red bakers twine. The whole thing is done up on a spring rain tag, made using PTI's tag die #2. Thanks for stopping in today!

One More Chocolate and Cream
One last chocolate and cream creation. This one uses TT Christmas and rustic snowflake stamp sets. I used my new Victorian edge die from PTI as well. The snowflakes are done in versamark on dark chocolate. The little mittens got the copic treatment. Thats about it, super easy card.
I got an email from Nancy today. That means there will be more Shady Tree Studio goodness coming your way very soon. I can't wait! Love those stamps. Have a great weekend!

Sick
So I have been battleing this horrible cold for the past three days. I feel so awful. Its been chicken soup, hot tea, and sleep here. I can't stand not feeling good. Ugh! I do not make a good patient. Now that I have that little whine out of the way, let me show you today's card.
Ive got a dark chocolate base. I added some faux stitching using WMS, Offbeat backgrounds. I have a red spellbinder lacey circle with a cream scallop on top. I stamped it with the label stamp from PTI Tiny Treat Valentine. I added the mittens and sentiment from TT Christmas. A little copic action, and we are all done.

Another Marigold
I have a special place in my heart for marigolds. When I was growing up my mom had tons of them along the front walkway of our house. I remember pinching out the seeds after the flower had died and spreading them in the flower bed. One year I decided to spread them in the grass too. Imagine my mom's surprise when the following year we had marigolds springing up in the lawn! LOL
Today's card is very similar to the last one I posted. The marigold is colored differently, the background is white instead of kraft and I changed out the sentiment. Stamp sets are YOF:marigold, (PTI) and WMS Frame It. Thanks for stopping in!

Chocolate with Cream...
Good Morning! Who stayed up late and got more stamping goodness from PTI? Me too! Can't wait til my package gets here! In the meantime... I have a card using Tiny Treats and Rustic snowflake. I started with a cream base and stamped my snowflakes in dark chocolate. I added some bazzill paper cut with my large scallop die and a piece of satin dark chocolate ribbon. Next I used the label from Tiny Treats Valentine and stamped it in red on cream. I added the little dear and happy holiday sentiment. Colored the dear with my copics, punched the whole thing out with my mega scallop punch and popped it up with pop dots. As far as cards go, pretty easy peasy!

Marigolds!
Hi there! I made this a few days ago. Finally got a chance to ink up my Marigold stamp from PTI. I colored it with my copics of course. Interesting thing about marigolds is that their tips are usually a much different color than the rest of the flower. There are also many variations. I have colored three or four of these now-- I can't wait to share the others with you as well. I thought they paired very well with my Frame it set from Waltzingmouse stamps. I love the font Claire chose for that set, just perfect. Speaking of WMS, I have a another sweet card posted at the Waltzingmouse Makers blog today. Click here to check it out. Thanks for stopping in!

Christmasy Stuff
Good Morning! I have lots of Christmasy, taggy, goodness for you today. I used PTI's fillable frame 9, die, and tiny treats set to create the dies above. Actually on the ones above my 10 year old daughter did most of the work. She cut them all out. I stamped the frames and images. She helped color with my spica pens. Didn't they come out cute? We have made dozens! Now I just need some baker's twine to put through the hole.
This next tag I used PTI's tag die 2, and merry and bright stamp set. A little yellow stickles and some glittery spica pens spice things up a bit.
A few more dies from Fillable Frame 9. The tiny trees are from Merry and Bright. Holly and Ornament from Tiny Treats. Tiny snowflake is from rustic snowflake. It was hooked to the handstamped by sentiment. I chopped it off. (GASP! I KNOW!) Thanks for stopping in on your Saturday!

Another Snowflake Card
One more little snowflake card. Same sets as yesterday. The little bird is from Hero Arts. I covered him in red stickles. I wish I hadn't but oh well. Have a happy Veteran's day! Make sure to thank those Vets!

Peace, Love, Joy
Good Morning Friends! Hey did you know its PTI count down week? Ah... my favorite time of the month. Although I am seriously running out of room for new stamps. I keep thinking I should sell some but then its like parting with my children... anyhow, I digress. Today's card is made with PTI Kraft. I stamped it with white using my rustic snowflake set. The wreath and sentiment are from Rustic Branches. Pretty simple and easy to mail- good qualities in a Christmas card. Thanks for coming by!

More Tiny Treat Tags
Look at these little guys! Same idea as yesterdays tags but with these cute little gingerbread men and a little more embellishing. Hope you like!
Edit: I did use white gel pen on the gingerbread men. I like the uni signo broad (something like that!)

Tiny Treats Tag
Hope you are not sick of Tiny Treats yet, I fear there is a lot more to come! LOL! Today I have a tag for you. I cut it out of kraft with my tag die. I stamped it up with lots of snowflakes from the set Rustic Snowflake (PTI). I inked the edges and then stamped the focal image and sentiment in black. A little help from the copics (go lightly here so it doesn't seep through) and you are all done!

WMS Frame It
Edit: Rebecca asked about exchange rate for WMS. WMS has a converter right there on the site. Exchange rates do change but as of today the Frame It set was approximately 23 US dollars. Which is a good deal! The shipping (if you don't take advantage of Claire's free shipping) is around 6 dollars (US). Either way a great deal for overseas shipping.
A couple of months ago both PTI and WMS came out with a set that had frames. PTI was a little earlier but I decided to wait for WMS and I am glad I did. I love the sentiments and the fonts so much more than the one from PTI. Claire just has a way with sentiments. Plus I got a couple quirky UK sentiments like "Cheerio!". I love that! WMS also had those cutie cupcakes that you see on the card above- its like a bonus.
This card is pretty simple. I figured out where the middle of the card was. I stamped the frame and sentiment. I came back in and stamped the cupcakes. I colored with my spica pens. It sparkles in real life, hard to see in the photo. Thats it, a cute card in about 5 minutes.

Just Believe Angel
This angel is from Shady Tree Studio's Just Believe set. I stamped it on some older MM patterned paper and cut it out. I paper pieced some of the details and then enhanced a bit with copic marker. I pieced her wings from PTI vellum. I colored the rest of her with my pastels. I made the "glow" with pastels too. The outside edge of the card is inked with chai ink from PTI.

Candle at Sunrise
I have another great image from Home for the Holidays, from Shady Tree Studio. This one is my favorite of the set I think. I like it even better than the cardinal. I love how big it is too, it really makes a statement. I stamped it on PTI white and colored it with my copics. I was thinking it was sunrise outside...so I have a pink and gold sky. I used a ton of markers, at least 15 or so. After I colored and trimmed the image I mounted it on a piece of PTI scarlet jewel. I added a little piece of pinefeather trim below. The sentiment is on the inside.

Red Cardinal
Nancy sent me another set called Home for the Holidays (probably because I was begging for it!). Its so gorgeous! If you like to color then this set is for you. No joke... I could color these images for hours! Yesterday I spent some time coloring the cardinal. I love this stamp. He is perfect for Christmas but really anytime of year as well. I stamped him on PTI white and then colored him with my copics and cut him out. I popped him up on dimensionals on this paper I found in my stash (sorry I have no clue of who makes it, but its OLD). I matted that onto some PTI Kraft and then lightly inked the edges. I love this card, which is not very humble of me to admit- but I do. Happy Monday!
