Rose Red

I'm back with another Rose for you all. This time I colored it red. Let me just say I think the darker colors are much harder to do. I used R29, R46, and R59. R46 is the lightest, 29 is the midtone, 59 is the darkest. I am really happy with the way it came out. However, it took nearly an hour to color. You have to be very careful so those dark colors don't jump the line. I opted to keep it simple and mounted it on True Black cardstock (PTI). The sentiment is from Fillable Frame (5?). The Rose is from YOF Rose by PTI. A scalloped edge punch (ek success) and a few rhinestones (hero arts) finish it off.

Beautiful Michele! I've not tried colouring my rose yet, must give it a go! Love the simplicity of your card, really lets your rose take centre stage!

Michele, as always, this is gorgeous! I've ALWAYS loved the black/red/white combo and you really hit it on the head here. Simple, yes...but I love that my eyes are drawn immediately to that well-colored rose. Bravo!

Simple and lovely. Those rhinestones are the crowning touch. You are a brave girl, I would probably never attempt to color this baby!
