It's that time again! Papertrey Ink is hosting their monthly blog hop! This month's challenge was to make your best birthday card. I love to make birthday cards. I had a really hard time deciding which one to pick. In the end I settled on two different cards. I hope you see something you like!
My second card uses Raspberry Fizz paper for the background. Its stamped with PTI's borders and corners circle stamp in fresh snow. I then layered on a piece of aqua mist cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from PTI's birthday basics in Raspberry fizz ink. The flower is from petaloo, the gem is hero arts. The scalloped circle is punched with a marvy punch and stamped in raspberry fizz with a Borders and Corner stamp. The little birds are from Hero Arts. They are also stamped in Fizz. I colored them with a copic marker (BG11). Hope you like it! Enjoy the blog hop.

Love your color combos!
ReplyDeleteI love the multi colored dots, andj you are correct it takes a bit to stamp them all but so worth it in the end. All your twill ribbons and the medalion top it off, very well done.
ReplyDeleteI bet it took forever to color those dots in but they look great. I really like that second card! Very pretty :-)
ReplyDeleteNice job on both of them. I know it can be time consuming to color the dots in different colors but I think it is worth it in the end.
ReplyDeleteThese cards are super awesome. Polka dot basics is my all time fav set from PTI and you have given me ideas to create more from it. WOW Great cards.
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I especially like the Raspberry Fizz and Aqua Mist combo. And I just bought B&C circle set, so thanks for the inspiration to get it out and use it!
ReplyDeleteI love them both! Great colours!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I've seen your site, and I have to say your cards for the PTI Blog Hop are wonderful! I love your color sense, and the imaginative way you've used the stamps. I never would have thought to put Raspberry Fizz together with the Aqua Mist like that, but I will now. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat color Copic marker did you use on your little birds? It's a perfect match for Aqua Mist.
Thanks for the inspiration,
Jan
